Dandadan Unleashes Season2 Trailer & Unexpected Movie Announcement!

I can hardly contain my excitement as Dandadan Season 2 is about to break onto the scene! Last year, the first season of this Science SARU anime adaptation (from Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga) was a breath of fresh air, quickly earning its place among the top new shows of 2024. With a total of 12 episodes, it left us hanging on the edge of our seats with its gripping storyline and unforgettable characters like Okarun, Momo, and Jiji. The season ended in a nail-biting cliffhanger that has left fans yearning for more – specifically, the “Cursed House Arc.” I can hardly wait to join them again!

The exact launch date for Season 2 of Dandadan has been unveiled recently. This exciting season will debut on July 3rd, narrowing down the earlier speculated Summer 2025 release window. However, that’s not all the good news for Dandadan fans today! Alongside a fresh promo, there’s also an unexpected update that has just been shared.

Dandadan Season 2 Drops a Stunning New Promo

After announcing the release date of Dandadan‘s second season, a sneak peek of the upcoming episodes was revealed, set to air in July. A stunning new poster showcases Momo, Okarun, and Turbo Granny using their abilities, with all three hanging on tightly for survival. Meanwhile, Jiji is seen wielding his Evil Eye form, as his childhood home falls apart behind them.

Viewers were aware that Season 2 would encompass the “Cursed House” and “Evil Eye” storylines, given that the latter served as a thrilling cliffhanger at the end of Season 1. Though some expressed disappointment about the delay, the recent promo certainly ignites excitement among fans, anticipating the portrayal of this beloved narrative in the upcoming season. Take a look at the new poster below…

Dandadan Is Returning to Theaters for Season 2’s Debut

The latest poster signals a major revelation for the upcoming season 2 of Dandadan, with fans possibly recalling that before the launch of season 1 in October, certain theaters showed the movie “Dandadan: First Encounter”. This 75-minute long film comprised the initial three episodes of season 1. In the run-up to the release of season 2 on Crunchyroll, Momo and Okarun will resume their quest for the lost kintama in cinemas again.

I’m thrilled to share that just as it was with Season 1, the initial episodes of Dandadan Season 2 will grace select cinemas globally before their TV premiere! The journey begins in Asia from May 30th, and US fans can look forward to a grand on-screen experience starting June 6th. European enthusiasts will join us a day later on June 7th. Can’t wait for this incredible anime adventure to unfold on the big screen!
