Dandadan’s Newest Character Is One of the Series’ Strongest (& Fans Aren’t Ready)

As a seasoned gamer and anime enthusiast who has spent countless hours immersed in the enchanting world of Dandadan, I must say that Jiji is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters. His carefree demeanor and silly antics may fool some, but his strength and resilience are undeniable.

In the anime “Dandadan”, we’ve got a fresh character named Jin Enoji, more famously known as Jiji. He’s Momo’s first love and at present, resides at her home because his parents are hospitalized. To make things more complicated, he enrolls in Momo’s class, much to the chagrin of Okarun. Jiji brings a touch of silliness to the series with his capers. While he seems light-hearted, his family troubles are a burden. Jiji realizes that the source of the string of mishaps is an evil spirit lurking in his house. Despite numerous efforts to expel the spirit, he’s forced to seek assistance from Seiko Ayase due to the failure.

Sadly, Seiko’s abilities are limited to Kamigoe City, which leaves her no choice but to delegate the spirit exorcism task to Momo. Though still new to her psychic powers, Seiko has confidence in her granddaughter. This may come as a surprise to anime-only fans, but Jiji is shaping up to be one of the series’ most formidable characters. As the manga stands at 176 chapters, very few have tested his strength since then. Interestingly, unlike many other characters in Dandadan, Jiji doesn’t acquire his powers through traditional means. The narrative will take an unexpected turn, altering the story’s trajectory altogether.

Jiji Gets an Insane Power-up After Being Possessed

Exceptionally talented individuals like Momo and Seiko with innate skills are exceptionally scarce. Ordinary people can only acquire supernatural abilities if they meet specific requirements when interacting with a spirit. Okarun leverages Turbo Granny’s curse for his benefit, harnessing her powers. However, this comes at a price as he struggles deeply while maintaining his Yokai form. Conversely, Aira obtains her abilities after Acrobatic Silky passes her aura onto her.

In Chapter 40 (Season 2), I found myself being overtaken by the malevolent spirit known as the Evil Eye – the very same specter that has long haunted his home. This vengeful entity harbors a deep-seated animosity towards humanity, and this hostility amplifies the Evil Eye’s potent power. Over hundreds of years, it had been patiently waiting for the right host to execute its plan. As an athlete, I possess a stronger physique than most teenagers, and my spiritual energy is naturally powerful, placing me in a category similar to Momo and Seiko. Nevertheless, once possessed, my battles truly began.
