Over the last decade, there’s been an abundance of shark-themed movies, such as The Shallows, The Meg 1 & 2, 47 Metres Down and its follow-up, and more recently, ‘Something in the Water’. However, a fresh take on this trend is the trailer for Dangerous Animals, which combines shark thriller with elements of a serial killer storyline!
In a twist of fate, the daring and unrestrained surfer Zephyr finds herself kidnapped by a shark fanatic with a penchant for murder, trapped aboard his vessel. Facing the imminent threat of a gruesome ritual sacrifice to the sharks lurking beneath, she must quickly devise an escape plan.
In the upcoming movie, directed by Sean Byrne who previously helmed The Devil’s Candy, we find Jai Courtney and Hassie Harrington entangled in a chilling, claustrophobic thriller. This film promises to be quite intense as well.
Dangerous Animals is released in cinemas on 6th June 2025
