Daredevil: Born Again's Charlie Cox Teases Show's "Nice Little Cameos"

As a die-hard fan who has followed Daredevil’s journey since the beginning, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming series, “Daredevil: Born Again.” The prospect of seeing Matt Murdock/Daredevil team up with White Tiger and other unexpected heroes is just mind-blowing!

If you’ve caught a glimpse of the Daredevil: Born Again snippets shown at the D23 Expo recently, you’re aware that White Tiger is poised to feature in the series at some point. Interestingly, it’s not just our street-level hero who might show up; there could be more unexpected characters gracing the screen too. In a recent panel highlighting Daredevil: Born Again at FanExpo Chicago, its star Charlie Cox hinted at the possibility of some intriguing cameos by other surprise figures.

As a gamer, I steer clear of strictly adhering to the comic book stories when developing our game. It’s not that I don’t respect them, but if we stick too closely to a storyline, it takes away the surprise and excitement since everyone knows how it ends. You might have noticed some intriguing characters in the leaked trailer from D23 – I didn’t spill the beans, you spotted them! Unfortunately, that trailer has been removed, so I can’t reveal any details about those characters now.

When the actor mentioned it, I was ecstatic to learn that my character would share screen time with the White Tiger and other yet-to-be-named heroes featured in the series.

Tom Cox mentioned recalling the scripts he received, specifically focusing on a certain character from one of the stories which he found captivating before he began playing Daredevil in 2014. He had always admired this unique storyline and the dynamic between the characters, finding it enjoyable. Additionally, he shared his enthusiasm for a few intriguing cameos that will appear in the series.

Cox returns as Matt Murdock / Daredevil and he’ll be joined by Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk / Kingpin), Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle / Punisher), Wilson Bethel (Benjamin Poindexter / Bullseye), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Ayelet Zurer (Vanessa Fisk), Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, Genneya Walton, and Arty Froushan. It’s unclear if Sandrine Holt, Nikki M. James, Clark Johnson, Michael Gaston, and Harris Yulin will remain in the series after the aforementioned creative overhaul.

The highly-anticipated series “Daredevil: Born Again” is slated to debut on Disney+ starting March 2025. If you’re not yet a subscriber, you can conveniently sign up here.
