As a long-time fan of the Plants vs. Zombies series, I can’t help but feel a rush of nostalgia with the announcement of Volume 23: Zapped! Ever since I first encountered those pesky zombies back on my trusty iPod Touch, I’ve been hooked on this delightful blend of humor and strategy.

The Plants vs. Zombies team returns with fresh adventures, giving you an exclusive sneak peek at the newest installment in the series! Continuing the fun, Dark Horse Comics is releasing a brand-new graphic novel titled “Plants vs. Zombies Volume 23: Zapped.” Dealing with hordes of zombies is never easy, but when they suddenly start appearing everywhere, the search for explanations intensifies. The culprit behind this mysterious surge is a new device called the ZAP (Zombies Automatically Produced), and it threatens to overrun Neightborville permanently. Each day, an increasing number of custard pies and zombies seem to materialize mysteriously. The custard pies are quite pleasant, but the zombies are causing quite a ruckus! It’s as if these Zombies are being Automatically Generated, so Patrice, Nate, and Crazy Dave must uncover the truth behind this phenomenon before Neighborville is in danger of being destroyed irreversibly!

Award-winning writer Paul Tobin teams up with talented artist Christianne Gillenardo-Goudreau to create an entirely fresh Plants vs. Zombies original graphic novel. This masterpiece features exquisite lettering by Eisner nominee Steve Dutro and stunning colors by Heather Breckel!
