As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say, the news of a potential Dark Souls 3 remaster is music to my battle-scarred ears! You see, I’ve danced with the Yharnamites, braved the Abyss Watchers, and even faced the mighty Nameless King – but alas, the journey through Lothric was a tad pixelated on my current-gen console.
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been eagerly awaiting news about a potential revamp of “Bloodborne” for quite some time now. However, it seems like another FromSoftware gem might be undergoing a transformation soon. According to Nick Baker on the XboxEra Podcast, there are whispers that “Dark Souls 3” could be getting a facelift. Now, he’s not allowed to share more details, but the buzz is definitely there!
Given that the initial version of “Dark Souls” was revamped in 2018 by QLOC, it’s not too shocking that there might be a remaster for “Dark Souls 3”. While it debuted on Xbox One, PS4, and PC back in 2016 without any current-gen enhancements, it’s now capable of running at 60 FPS on the PS5, boosting from 1080p to 4K resolution, and also operating at 900p/60 FPS on Xbox Series X.
If there’s a planned upgrade, it might offer support for 4K resolution and improved frame rates on the latest gaming systems for this particular game. For the moment, treat this as unconfirmed, but it certainly isn’t impossible.
