Darkest Dungeon 2 is Out Now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch

As a seasoned gamer with thousands of hours clocked into various RPGs and strategy titles under my belt, I’ve grown to appreciate the depth and complexity that Darkest Dungeon 2 brings to the table. Having delved deep into its predecessor, I was eagerly anticipating this sequel, and let me tell you – it has not disappointed!

I’m thrilled to share that I can now get my hands on Red Hook Studios’ long-awaited Darkest Dungeon 2, available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch for $39.99. For those who want more, there’s the Oblivion Edition priced at $44.99, complete with the The Binding Blade DLC.

In 2021, Darkest Dungeon 2 began early access releases. Subsequently, it was made available in full for PCs the following year, achieving sales of over 500,000 copies within its first week. A departure from its predecessor, players initiate their journey by choosing among four heroes at the game’s onset. As they progress, they traverse various cursed areas using a stagecoach, ultimately making their way to The Mountain. Along the route, branching paths offer glimpses into each character’s backstory and present encounters with random events, challenges from bosses.

In our review of the PC version, discover how battles remain turn-based but have been significantly enhanced with token systems for status effects. The developer has made numerous improvements and new features since release, but their most significant update, titled “Kingdoms,” is scheduled to come out later in the year. This campaign operates independently, requiring players to protect inns against the attacks of three rival factions. For additional information, please follow this link.
