Players of Darkest Dungeon II, eager for another intense test, no longer have to wait: the Kingdoms update initially launched on PC is now available on PS5 as a complimentary update together with the Inhuman Bondage DLC. This expansion introduces a new hero, who goes by the peculiar name – The Abomination.
In the updated version, the original game mode for Darkest Dungeon II has been renamed as “Confessions.” The overall structure, however, has undergone a significant overhaul and is now referred to as “Kingdoms.” You’ll still experience harrowing coach rides and participate in intense turn-based battles. Instead of focusing on enduring a long journey, you’ll be reacting to an invasion by the ferocious Beast Clan.
Players need to ward off these attacks, protecting a chain of taverns as they maintain their diverse group of heroes in battle readiness, all while taking into account the broader strategic context. The Hunger of the Beast Clan is the inaugural adventure scenario among three themed modules, with two more scheduled for launch in 2025.
