Among the recent advancements in visual accessibility features, one notable addition is the enhanced customization of captions for players in the game Days Gone Remastered. Players now have 11 distinct color choices to personalize their subtitles. Furthermore, the speaker’s name can be accentuated, and there are also new possibilities for adjusting subtitle backgrounds.

In the world of Days Gone Remastered, I’ll be getting a new buddy – the High Contrast mode! This feature, when combined with the High Contrast HUD from the original game, promises to make my gaming experience smoother. With High Contrast mode, I’ll find it easier to spot key details like distinguishing friendly NPCs from enemies, making my survival journey even more immersive.

In terms of enhancing its accessibility through sound, the remastered version of “Days Gone” will boast a reworked and advanced audio mix. Furthermore, it will introduce fresh audio accessibility settings, such as User Interface (UI) Narration and Collectible Audio Cues. The UI Narration is designed to aid visually-impaired gamers in comprehending the interface more effectively, while Collectible Audio Cues provide auditory signals when a player is near one of the game’s 240 collectibles, as implied by their name.

In terms of gameplay adjustments, Days Gone Remastered offers customizable controls, enabling players to reassign keybindings according to their preference. Moreover, the game’s speed can be adjusted to suit different playstyles, with options ranging from 100% (normal), 75%, 50%, and 25%. This feature is particularly useful for those who might find the challenges within the game too intense.

Additionally, a variety of lesser-known features such as Re-centering Camera upon attack, adjustable Haptic feedback intensity, Field of View customization, and the Persistent Center Dot option will be included in Days Gone Remastered. Furthermore, the Quick Time Event (QTE) feature will be accessible across all difficulty levels, ranging from Easy to Survival II.

As Days Gone Remastered for PlayStation 5 is about to be released, McAllister shared on the PlayStation Blog that they’re eager to highlight their enhanced suite of accessibility options. Building upon the foundation from the original Days Gone in 2019, their goal was to advance and refine accessibility features to ensure a more accessible and personalized gaming experience when embarking on the ‘Broken Road’ on April 25.

Apart from being playable on the PS5 with Days Gone Remastered on April 25th, the same accessibility features and PC version enhancements will be implemented in the original Days Gone game via a free update. This update also includes graphical upgrades. You can find more information about this free update here.
