Days Gone’s Review Scores Have Been Rising Over Time, with PS5 Version Coming Highly Recommended

Remasters usually get lower review scores than the games they’re based on.

Following the release of the PC version in 2021 (a truly impressive adaptation of the game), the overall score climbed to 76.

Now, since the PS5 update, the game’s review score has climbed once more to a 78, classifying it as ‘Generally Favorable’ according to Metacritic.

It’s noteworthy that the number of reviews for this game has decreased progressively. The initial release garnered over 100 reviews from various outlets, but the PC version received only 48, and the PS5 edition currently has fewer than 20 verdicts.

As more reviews accumulate, the overall average score for Days Gone tends to decrease, yet it’s evident that the game has gained appreciation from critics over time. Initially dismissed as Sony’s misfit, Days Gone has evolved and is now widely appreciated by fans as a title that was previously misunderstood.
