DC Announces Panels for New York Comic Con 2024

As a lifelong DC fan, I can barely contain my excitement for the upcoming New York Comic Con 2024! With DC’s grand plans unveiled, it seems like the city that never sleeps is about to become the epicenter of the DC Universe for a few electrifying days.

DC is set to make a significant impact at New York Comic Con 2024. On Wednesday, they unveiled their detailed plans for this event, which takes place in mid-October in New York City. DC’s lineup includes the traditional Jim Lee & Friends gathering, a focus on publishing related to Gotham City, and a sneak peek into the Absolute/All In universes.

At NYCC 2024, these publishing panels will serve as an additional representation of DC’s involvement. It has been officially announced that the animated series “Creature Commandos” by DC Studios will have its own dedicated panel. The creators behind this series, including James Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios, and executive producer Dean Lorey, along with stars Frank Grillo, David Harbour, Zoe Chao, Sean Gunn, and Steve Agee, are expected to attend the panel for a discussion about the show.

What Is DC All In?

Previously announced for this summer, the new project will present a revitalized “Absolute” DC universe filled with beloved characters in innovative ways, alongside a continuous series of main titles showcasing fresh directions and entry points for various heroes and teams. The “Absolute” series will initially include titles like “Absolute Batman” by Snyder and Nick Dragotta, “Absolute Superman” by Jason Aaron and Rafa Sandoval, and “Absolute Wonder Woman” by Kelly Thompson and Hayden Sherman.

Speaking about the launch of the Absolute Universe, Snyder expressed that it reminded him of returning to DC, and he believes DC All In will serve as an excellent starting point for both newcomers and fans who have taken a break, offering them the opportunity to delve into fresh tales they’ll grow to cherish while also discovering exciting changes in store for DC’s main comic book series.
