As a seasoned gamer and comic book enthusiast, I can’t help but get amped up when it comes to Green Lantern Corps! Having grown up with Hal Jordan and his fellow Lanterns, witnessing their evolution throughout the years has been nothing short of thrilling. The upcoming series promises a fresh take on the franchise, with familiar faces like John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Guy Gardner, and more, all banding together to tackle new threats that are shaking the emotional spectrum to its core.
Recently, the Green Lantern franchise has seen a surge in popularity, and by 2025, DC Comics plans to assemble their heavy hitters for the much-anticipated revival of the Green Lantern Corps. The forthcoming Green Lantern Corps series will continue the narrative from Civil Corps and the upcoming Fractured Spectrum storyline, with Hal Jordan aiming to reunite his team in order to combat the formidable Fractal Lanterns. To achieve this goal, he assembles an impressive roster comprised of long-standing allies and fresh faces from the mythology. Starting February 12th, 2025, the Green Lantern Corps will come alive in comic book stores, crafted by talented writers Jeremy Adams (Green Lantern, The Flash) and Morgan Hampton (Cyborg, DC Power), along with artists Fernando Pasarin (The Flash, Deathstroke) and Oclair Albert (Batman: Urban Legends, The Flash).
A Big Time Team
The Green Lantern Corps has always been large to manage various sectors across the universe, but the fresh team will spotlight some well-known characters. This group includes John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Guy Gardner, Jo Mullein, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, and Keli Quintela, who is currently in the thick of Thaaros’ efforts to command the emotional spectrum. In fact, each member has been crucial in the ongoing battle against Thaaros. However, as we’ve learned lately, they aren’t only battling him anymore.
In Green Lantern #17’s latest edition, two significant dangers are wreaking havoc, each with a desire to command the emotional spectrum for distinct purposes. Previously, they have both affected the spectrum negatively in various manners, which has resulted in allies and enemies alike switching affiliations to different Corps, leading to chaos.

Rayner, Mullein, and Baz are actively supporting the rebellion on OA, whereas Cruz has been secretly working for both sides within Thaaros’ regime. However, she was exposed and is currently not in their custody. Keli, on the other hand, has been hidden deep within OA’s laboratories, where Thaaros is trying to understand her gauntlet and unique connection to the Spectrum, hoping it will give him total power.
Meanwhile on the outside is the team of Stewart, Gardner, and Jordan, who have been assembling who they can and building a force outside of OA. They recently rescued Mullein and Rayner, giving them new Lantern rings as they jump back into the fray. It makes complete sense then that this would be the main lineup for the new and improved Corps, but one does have to wonder if Kilowog will be added to the lineup at some point, at least if he can shake the Yellow Ring.
