DC Heroes' Final Battle With Amanda Waller Begins in Absolute Power Preview

The climax of Absolute Power has sent shockwaves through the DC community, and the forthcoming DC All In initiative promises to redefine our beloved heroes.

In the climactic finale of “Absolute Power”, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and other DC heroes will counterattack against Amanda Waller and her anti-metahuman forces. This latest series from DC Comics represents a significant turning point for the company. Following the events of “Absolute Power”, DC All In initiative is set to be introduced, which includes the debut of a new “Absolute” imprint headed by renowned creator Scott Snyder. However, in this storyline, Amanda Waller manages to outsmart the heroes of the DC Universe, stripping them of their powers and forcing them into hiding. Yet, the situation is gradually shifting, with our beloved DC characters now applying the pressure on Amanda Waller.

In a sneak peek, DC published issue #4 of ‘Absolute Power’ penned by Mark Waid, illustrated by Dan Mora, colored by Alejandro Sanchez, and lettered by Ariana Maher. It appears that Amanda Waller’s control over Gamorra Island is waning as Wonder Woman and Robin successfully infiltrated the Supermax prison to free their companions. Green Arrow, who has switched sides from the Justice League to team up with Waller, shares information about recent developments. The Brainiac Queen has been defeated, and Jon Kent is now free from her influence. In the meantime, Nightwing is rallying forces for an attack on Gamorra Island.

Upon arrival on Gamorra Island, the weapons taken by Amanda Waller’s troops from the Hall of Justice start malfunctioning. When Waller looks to Green Arrow for some explanations, he has mysteriously vanished. Could it be that Green Arrow is secretly working as a double agent for the heroes?

What is Absolute Power #4 about?

In the final stand on the brutal island of Gamorra, the last resistance fighters are locked in fierce combat. Meanwhile, Batman and Superman clash bitterly, while Amanda Waller refuses to back down, gathering forces from various universes. The fate of the DC Universe hangs in the balance, and after this point, nothing will be as it was before!

The plotline from “Absolute Power” will culminate in the upcoming “All In,” and the DC “All In Special” one-shot is set to debut this very week as well.

What is DC’s All In about?

Previously mentioned this summer, the new project will present a refreshed, innovative take on the DC universe’s characters, alongside a continuous series of main titles showcasing fresh perspectives and entry points for numerous heroes and groups. The Absolute series will initially include “Absolute Batman” by Snyder and Nick Dragotta, “Absolute Superman” by Jason Aaron and Rafa Sandoval, and “Absolute Wonder Woman” by Kelly Thompson and Hayden Sherman.
