What James Gunn Has Planned For Batman

Currently, “The Brave and the Bold” stands as somewhat of an enigma. Kickstarting the James Gunn and Peter Safran era, DC Studios has unveiled a host of entertaining plans. Among the exciting announcements is their Batman project, which has longtime fans buzzing with anticipation. The prospect of witnessing the Bat-Family dynamic in action, particularly centered around the Caped Crusader, has fans thrilled. This time around, Damian Wayne enthusiasts will get to see their favorite character brought to life on screen.

As a long-time fan of DC Comics, I am thrilled to share my excitement about the upcoming story of Damian Wayne, Batman’s secret son, who was hidden from us for the first eight to ten years of his life. Growing up in a world of violence and assassinations, Damian has had a tough journey that has shaped him into a formidable character. Despite his troubled past, he has become my favorite Robin, and I believe his story will captivate readers who love the darker side of Batman’s universe. This new narrative is based on one of my all-time favorite Batman comic book runs by Grant Morrison, which perfectly encapsulates the complexities and depth of the character. I can’t wait to see how this tale unfolds, as the creative team brings it to life.

During the announcement, Safran mentioned that this film is undoubtedly a full-length movie and will include other characters from the wider ‘Bat-family’. He believes these characters have been underrepresented in Batman stories shown on the big screen for an extended period.
