DC Reveals New Look at Green Lantern Dark

As a longtime fan of DC Comics and the Green Lantern Corps, I am absolutely thrilled to see the latest addition to the Elseworlds line: “Green Lantern Dark.” The intriguing premise of this seven-issue series, written by Tate Brombal with art by Werther Dell’Edera, has me hooked.

As a gamer excited about the latest developments in the DC comic book universe, I can’t help but feel thrilled as the Elseworlds line has made its grand return this year, promising an array of captivating tales untouched by the main continuity. On a recent Tuesday, DC unveiled the first sneak peek at the upcoming Elseworlds title that has piqued my curiosity – “Green Lantern Dark.” This intriguing new series will be written by Tate Brombal (of House of Slaughter fame) and illustrated by Werther Dell’Edera, who brought the chilling tale of Something Is Killing the Children to life.

“Brombal and Werther are innovatively redefining the capabilities and role of Green Lantern in this comic book, and we’re thrilled to present Rina Mori to the audience for the first time. She’s weary, grouchy, and reluctant to save the world, but she’ll have no choice but to rise up and do it anyway. Trust us, you won’t want to miss this intriguing new character.”

What Is Green Lantern Dark About?

In “Green Lantern Dark,” Earth has become a post-apocalyptic landscape ruled by monsters, where good and evil have long since clashed and evil emerged victorious. The once vibrant cities now lie in ruins, shrouded in darkness as the remnants of humanity eke out a meager existence. A solitary hero is rumored to roam these desolate urban areas, carrying the power of the enigmatic green flame that could banish the shadows and restore light to the world – none other than the Green Lantern. However, she has been absent for years, leaving humanity without hope. Meanwhile, on the secluded island of New England, Solomon Grundy’s undead horde continues to expand, growing stronger each night.

As a gamer, I can’t wait to share my excitement with you! Tate and I are thrilled to present you with the grumpiest, most adorable Green Lantern since Guy Gardner. Dell’Edera here, welcoming you to DC’s Elseworlds Green Lantern Dark!
