DC x Sonic the Hedgehog Is the Comic Book Crossover We Never Knew We Needed

Next week marks the premiere of an unexpectedly exciting comic book series fusion: DC Comics and Sonic the Hedgehog – a 5-issue crossover event! The inaugural issue hits shelves on March 19th.

Written by longtime scribe Ian Flynn of Sonic the Hedgehog fame, along with illustrations by Adam Bryce Thomas, this mini-series offers an extraordinary collaboration between the Justice League and Team Sonic as they band together to ward off a significant danger that could jeopardize their respective worlds.

The pace quickens as the fearsome Darkseid breaches dimensions, intending to conquer the realm of Sonic the Hedgehog in search of unrivaled power.

Sonic and his companions have battled everything from crazy inventors to mystical entities, yet the power of Apokolips might exceed their capabilities. Fortunately, they receive support from the entire superhero team of the Justice League.

Initial panels exhibit a captivatingly lively art design, featuring an intriguing scene where Metal Sonic stands upfront, and Batman is seen hovering menacingly above.

Beyond just the upcoming comic, plans also include teaming up DC Comics and Sonic the Hedgehog for more collaborations, such as a line of merchandise showcasing Shadow in a Batman costume. However, it’s important to note that this exclusive merchandise will only be available at Target stores in the United States.

Other planned merch includes Sonic as The Flash, Tails as Cyborg, Amy as Wonder Woman, and more.

It’s possible to reserve the comics at your preferred comic book store ahead of time; we’ve confirmed that Forbidden Planet in the UK currently has the first three issues up for pre-order, offering several different cover variants as options.
