DC’s Next Hero Show Beats Peacemaker S2 on Max!

Max has unexpectedly unveiled their upcoming DC superhero show, which was not anticipated, even before the release of Peacemaker Season 2. This surprise announcement has left fans taken aback as they thought the next significant DC project on Max would be the continuation of James Gunn’s successful series.

Max has formally declared that the upcoming season of “Teen Titans Go!” (Season 9A) is set to be the next DC superhero show to debut on their platform, preceding “Peacemaker” Season 2. Starting from May 2nd, the Cartoon Network animated series will resume streaming with fresh episodes on our platform.

The animated version of the series comes out before the second season of “Peacemaker,” set for release on August 21st. By doing this, Max is highlighting one of its longest-lasting and most successful DC characters ahead of Gunn’s live-action universe debut on Max. In animation, the new DCU started on Max back in December 2024 with Gunn’s “Creature Commandos.” Although that series ties directly into “Peacemaker,” “Teen Titans Go!” has its own dedicated fanbase, having been one of Cartoon Network’s longest-running shows since it was established in 2013.

Besides “Teen Titans Go!”, I’m excited to share that our roster will be growing significantly in May 2025, as we introduce several high-profile non-DC productions, each premiering during different parts of the month.
