As more manga stories make their way into animated adaptations, it’s no wonder that the gripping series, “Dead Account,” from the talented creator of the notorious death game manga, “Real Account,” is finally joining the ranks. This anticipated anime production, led by Synergy SP, has yet to reveal a specific release date but has shared some exciting updates, including several key cast members and enticing promotional images for the upcoming show.
In contrast to “Real Account” which centered around gruesome death games within a digital world, “Dead Account” delves into the life of an internet troll with a kind heart named Soji Enishiro, or Aoringo online. He assumed this role under public scrutiny to cover his sister’s medical expenses. Just as Soji accepts his fate of being despised by the masses, something extraordinary occurs that sets him on an unforeseen journey filled with mystical occult adventures. “Dead Account” combines rich lore and typical elements from shonen action manga within a contemporary narrative exploring the impact of streaming culture on modern society.
Dead Account Features an All-Star Voice Cast & Stunning Visuals
The forthcoming anime version appears incredibly captivating based on the initial glimpses from promotional images and posters unveiled on the official website. It masterfully translates Shimizu Watanabe’s original art style, giving it a distinctive flair that stands out. The vibrant colors and dynamic character designs promise to place this anime alongside other prominent shonen anime set for comeback in 2025, potentially carving its own niche amidst an exhilarating year filled with returning series like “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” and “Jujutsu Kaisen”.
In addition to generating anticipation, it’s noteworthy that some exceptionally talented voice actors have been cast as the main characters in this anime. For instance, Soji Enishiro, the series protagonist, will be voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto, who has previously given life to Bakugo Katsuki in “My Hero Academia,” Genya Shinazugawa in “Demon Slayer,” Natsuki Seba in Netflix’s adaptation of “Sakamoto Days,” and Rin Okumura in “Blue Exorcist.” Meanwhile, Kiyomi Urusugawa will be voiced by Fairouz Ai, best recognized for her portrayal of Jolyne Kujou in “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure,” but also known for playing characters such as Power in “Chainsaw Man” and Kikoru Shinomiya in “Kaiju No. 8.” Lastly, Kukuru Kasubata will be voiced by Kouki Uchiyama, a veteran of “My Hero Academia,” where he played Tomura Shigaraki, as well as Gen Narumi in “Kaiju No. 8” and Izumi Miyamura in “Horimiya.
