This upcoming alliance will introduce elements from the widely acclaimed Five Nights at Freddy’s series into the multiplayer horror realm of Dead by Daylight. Coinciding with the 10th anniversary celebration of Five Nights at Freddy’s, the creators at Scott Games subtly hinted at a collaboration with a different franchise. Although many fans speculated that this crossover might unfold within Fortnite, it’s now clear that Dead by Daylight will be the stage for this exciting fusion with FNAF!
Through their official Dead by Daylight account, creators Behaviour Interactive revealed an upcoming collaboration with Five Nights at Freddy’s. So far, there’s limited information about this crossover event as they only shared a hint of what’s to come along with a “Summer 2025” release date. Previous Dead by Daylight collaborations suggest that a character from Five Nights at Freddy’s will likely join the asymmetrical horror game as a new playable “Killer”. The extent of this collaboration remains unclear, but we can expect more details in the coming months.

In early August, Scott Games hinted at a crossover related to Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF). Given that this timeframe corresponded with the end of Chapter 5 Season 3 in Fortnite, fans anticipated that Fortnite could receive cosmetics from Five Nights at Freddy’s. Regrettably, these expectations have been disappointingly proven false.
Despite the disappointment felt by Fortnite enthusiasts with this news, it’s challenging not to consider Dead by Daylight as a more fitting candidate for a Five Nights at Freddy’s collaboration. Given that both games belong to the horror genre, Five Nights at Freddy’s could seamlessly integrate into Dead by Daylight. As a long-time fan of survival horror games, I am absolutely thrilled to see “Five Nights at Freddy’s” coming to “Dead by Daylight”. Growing up in the 80s and playing games like “Night Trap” and “Phantasmagoria”, I developed a deep love for the genre.
