Dead Island 2 PS5 Pro Support Confirmed, More Info Coming “Soon”

As an old-school gamer with decades of gaming history under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia mixed with anticipation at the prospect of Dead Island 2 gracing the next-gen console landscape. The series has been a staple in my zombie-slaying arsenal for years, and the promise of a potential PS5 Pro version only amplifies that excitement.

This week is packed for Dambuster Studios’ Dead Island 2, as they released the Ultimate Edition and Patch 6, which includes the new Neighborhood Watch mode and New Game Plus. Yet, some observant fans spotted PlayStation 5 Pro compatibility listed on the PlayStation Store.

The official Twitter account of the show confirmed this and hinted at sharing more details shortly. According to our assessment, the PS5 version aims for a 4K resolution and operates at 60 frames per second without providing alternatives. It’s possible that the developers, Dambuster, may have utilized the new PlayStation Super Resolution or incorporated ray tracing to enhance visual quality.

Regardless, we’ll need to wait for details, so stay tuned. The PS5 Pro launches on November 7th for $699.99 worldwide. Supported titles thus far include Alan Wake 2, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Horizon Forbidden West, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, and more. Check out our feature for everything you should know before the console’s launch.

We will share more info about it soon!
