Ah, the mighty roar of undead frenzy calls once more! As an old-timer gamer who has slain countless zombies and survived numerous apocalypses, I can confidently say that Dambuster Studios’ Dead Island 2: Ultimate Edition is a welcome addition to my ever-expanding arsenal of zombie-slaying tools.

The 2023 action RPG from Dambuster Studios, titled Dead Island 2: Ultimate Edition, has officially been released and can be played on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. Additionally, physical versions of the game are now available for current-generation consoles. You can watch the launch trailer below.

This version, titled “Ultimate,” comes equipped with the fundamental game, enhanced by two expansions – “Haus” and “SoLA.” Additionally, it offers all Slayer character packs that boast exclusive cosmetics. Notably, it debuts with Patch 6, introducing a fresh co-op mode called Neighborhood Watch, designed for three players to collaborate, featuring new characters. Moreover, this release includes the “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” weapons pack.

Over several days, players need to gather resources and strengthen their defenses in preparation for an enormous zombie onslaught on the last day. Additionally, the update introduces New Game Plus, enabling players to commence another playthrough while progressing to a higher level limit. This edition also offers new weapons, a fresh type of zombie, and increased game difficulty.
