Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Includes a Fast-Forward Feature to Advance Time

As a seasoned survivor of countless zombie apocalypses and a dedicated fan of the Dead Rising franchise, I must say, Capcom has truly outdone themselves with this Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. The fast-forward feature is like a lifeline for those of us who’ve spent countless hours battling hordes of the undead, yet yearn to focus on the main storyline.

Despite Capcom claiming it’s not an entire overhaul, the development team is putting in maximum effort for the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. Alongside Classic and Standard control options, they’ve added a speed-up feature, as per IGN’s hands-on preview.

In the game Dead Rising, events unfold across a span of 72 in-game hours. Various cases arise during this period, and if you manage to resolve them all and meet certain requirements, you’ll unlock an ending and move on to Overtime mode. The new time-skipping feature lets you leap forward in the story (with several skipping speed options available).

The item can be found at key spots, but if you’re willing to forego extra storylines, this method suits those concentrating on the primary plotline. If you’re aiming for the true conclusion, though, you’ll have to put in some effort to achieve it.

The Dead Rising Remastered Edition will be released on September 19th, available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. For further information about this release, please follow the link provided below. Additionally, you can check out an extended gameplay video by clicking here.
