Deadpool Vandalizes Marvel's Social Media Accounts

As a hardcore gamer and longtime fan of the Marvel Universe, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming release of “Deadpool & Wolverine”! The recent social media antics of Deadpool taking over Marvel’s superhero accounts has only fueled the hype even further. It feels like we’re on the brink of something truly special and groundbreaking in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

As the release of Deadpool & Wolverine approaches in just a few hours, Deadpool is going to great lengths to maximize viewers for his film. This past Monday, Marvel’s social media channels underwent an unexpected change: their profile pictures were altered to feature a fusion of Deadpool and the character each account represented. Nearly all of Marvel’s superhero profiles were affected by this “hack,” including Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, Hulk, and more.

As a huge fan, I’ve noticed some fun and quirky additions to the Marvel pages. On the Avengers page, I came across a delightful drawing of Deadpool himself, sitting with a toybox emblazoned with the Marvel Studios logo. He looks like he’s having a blast playing with his Marvel toys!

Despite the fact that Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) can now mix with the other characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Disney regained control of the film rights, Reynolds himself has emphasized that “Deadpool & Wolverine” is essentially a self-contained movie.

Reynolds explained to Collider that the film wasn’t intended as an advertisement for another project. Instead, it was truly designed as a standalone production.

“Life can be tough for many people, and it has been for a long time,” he went on. “To leave a movie theater feeling elated, like you’ve experienced something truly moving yet still unconventional and rebellious – that’s what this character and world offer. It’s a fascinating battle between our expectations and the unexpected. I’m delighted Marvel shares my excitement. As we are our own harshest critics, for me, this is the best project I’ve ever been involved in.”

In the Marvel Studios production titled “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Deadpool, portrayed by Ryan Reynolds, and Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, will alter the course of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s history together. The film features Matthew Macfadyen as Paradox and Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova. Notable returning cast members include Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlyle, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapi?i? as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Rob Delaney as Peter, and Lewis Tan as Shatterstar. Aaron Stanford reprises his role as Pyro from the X-Men series, while rumors suggest Jennifer Garner’s return as Elektra Natchios.

Kevin Feige, Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy, and Lauren Shuler Donner are the producers, while Louis D’Esposito, Wendy Jacobson, Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, George Dewey, and Simon Kinberg act as executive producers for “Deadpool and Wolverine.” The screenplay is penned by Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, and Paul Wernick, in collaboration with Zeb Wells and Shawn Levy. The movie will make its debut exclusively in theaters on July 26th.
