Deadpool & Wolverine Expected To Win Its Sixth Weekend at the Box Office

Deadpool & Wolverine Expected To Win Its Sixth Weekend at the Box Office

As a seasoned gamer and movie aficionado with over three decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the current state of the box office is as predictable as the next level in a classic video game. The reign of Deadpool & Wolverine at the top spot is no surprise to me, given their iconic status in the comic book world and Ryan Reynolds’ knack for delivering hilarious one-liners.

Over the past weekend, the Marvel Studios movie starring Deadpool and Wolverine claimed the top spot at the box office once more. This blockbuster has shattered numerous box office records, such as being the highest-grossing R-rated film ever made. As of now, it holds a 78% critical rating and a 95% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. A recent report from Variety predicts that Deadpool and Wolverine will maintain their dominance by leading the box office during its sixth week in theaters. However, this means that the upcoming Labor Day weekend is expected to be relatively quiet at the box office.

Based on the report, this upcoming weekend at the box office is predicted to be among the least profitable of the year. Despite Dennis Quaid’s biopic Reagan and the nationwide release of Sony and Blumhouse’s Afraid, neither project is anticipated to perform well during Labor Day weekend. On the contrary, returning films like Alien: Romulus and It Ends With Us are expected to earn more. As for Deadpool & Wolverine, it’s projected to bring in around $12 million to $13 million over the holiday weekend. So far, the film has grossed $577 million in North America and $1.21 billion globally.

Will Deadpool & Wolverine Become the Highest-Grossing Movie of 2024?

Despite the strong performance of Deadpool and Wolverine in the box office, they still need to surpass the earnings of Inside Out 2 to claim the title of the highest-grossing movie of the year.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but feel a surge of pride as I witness the incredible success of Pixar Animation Studios with their latest masterpiece, “Inside Out 2”. In just its third weekend in theaters, it has smashed past the $1 billion mark at the box office, a truly remarkable feat! What’s even more astounding is that it didn’t take long for this sequel to outshine “Frozen 2”, claiming the title of the highest-grossing animated movie ever made. Most recently, this movie has reached its most significant milestone yet by breaking into the elite top ten-grossing films list of all time. Truly, Pixar never ceases to amaze us with their exceptional storytelling and innovative animation!

Initially, I had thought that Deadpool & Wolverine could rake in around $1.2 billion, but there might be a chance it could push a bit beyond that figure. Nonetheless, Inside Out 2 has been sitting pretty at $1.65 billion so far this year, making it the film with the highest earnings, and it looks like it’s going to maintain that title.
