Deadpool & Wolverine: Hugh Jackman Shares Video Teasing Movie When He’s 90

As a fan who has grown up with the Marvel Universe and witnessed the incredible transformations of its characters, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation when Hugh Jackman hints at reprising his iconic role as Wolverine in 2058! It’s like a dream come true for us fans who have watched Jackman slice and dice through villains since the early 2000s.

As a longtime fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), I was thrilled to see Hugh Jackman share a tantalizing sneak peek into his future as Wolverine on Instagram this morning. The video, set in the TVA jacket, had me reminiscing about all the epic battles and memorable moments that we’ve shared with this iconic character over the years. The repeated line “Til you’re ninety” from Deadpool made me chuckle, but when Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” started playing, I was left in awe.

While it might seem far-fetched, it’s not entirely implausible that Jackman and Reynolds could have recorded a humorous sketch for release in 2058 format. Such an action would undeniably embody the quintessential “Deadpool” spirit.

In one of the most notable scenes of Deadpool & Wolverine, the song “Like a Prayer” was included, a choice that required approval from Madonna herself who also suggested ways to enhance its use. Quickly, “Bye Bye Bye” by NSync and “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” by Green Day became strongly associated with the movie following the film’s release due to the intricate, humorous musical performances in Deadpool & Wolverine. Additionally, even Green Day couldn’t help but include a subtle reference to the 20th Century Fox/Marvel montage that played during the movie’s ending credits set to their song “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)”.

In the Marvel Studios production titled “Deadpool & Wolverine“, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will reshape the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s timeline. The movie features Matthew Macfadyen as Paradox, Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, alongside returning Deadpool cast members Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapi?i? as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Rob Delaney as Peter, and Lewis Tan as Shatterstar. Aaron Stanford reprises his role from the X-Men film series as Pyro, while there are rumors that Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra Natchios.

As a long-time fan of Marvel Comics and having grown up reading the adventures of Deadpool and Wolverine, I am thrilled to learn that these iconic characters are set to share the big screen in a new movie produced by industry veterans like Kevin Feige, Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy, and Lauren Shuler Donner. The impressive list of executive producers, including Louis D’Esposito, Wendy Jacobson, Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, George Dewey, and Simon Kinberg, suggests that this film is in good hands. With the writing team consisting of Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, and Shawn Levy, I am confident that we can expect a unique and entertaining take on these beloved characters. The fact that it was released exclusively in theaters on July 26th only adds to my anticipation for this highly-anticipated crossover event. As someone who has followed the development of these characters for years, I eagerly await the release of Deadpool & Wolverine and can’t wait to see how they will interact on screen.
