As a longtime fan of both Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, I’ve been eagerly following every update about their latest project, “Deadpool & Wolverine.” With each new Instagram post or interview, my excitement grows as I ponder the possibility of James Marsden’s Cyclops making an appearance.
Fans are speculating if Cyclops, played by Hugh Jackman in the X-Men films, will cameo in Deadpool and Wolverine’s upcoming project. Jackman has been sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of their promotional world tour on Instagram. During a stop in Brazil, Reynolds posed with goggles resembling Cyclops’ from the original X-Men films. These goggles belonged to James Marsden’s portrayal of Scott Summers. Though unconfirmed, these social media posts are generating excitement and leaving fans wondering what other surprises might be hidden in the footage.
Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have been bombarded with questions about potential cameos in their latest project at every tour stop so far. Shawn Levy, the director, has had to join in with denials and evasive responses on the road to “Deadpool & Wolverine.” During a recent press event, Reynolds admitted, “We’re keeping a lot under wraps.” At an earlier screening, Levy informed fans that “Marvel doesn’t allow us to reveal more.” So, there seems to be quite a bit going on behind the scenes. Some fans speculate that the trailers only show material from the first 35 minutes of the movie. That’s quite intriguing! Perhaps next week, we’ll finally get to hear Marsden utter the long-awaited words.
Will James Marsden Show Up For Deadpool & Wolverine?
With only a week left until the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, there’s been plenty of buzz online about the possibility of Cyclops appearing in the film. James Marsden, who portrayed Cyclops in the original X-Men franchise, spoke with The Discourse Podcast about potentially reprising his role. He mentioned, “I keep hearing about that; I can’t go anywhere without someone asking me. It seems there’s a lot of talk surrounding that.”
Before fully delving into the topic, Marsden cautiously dampened the growing excitement. He couldn’t resist adding fuel to the fire though when he casually mentioned that Pinewood Studios, where Deadpool and Wolverine are being produced, is located close to where Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was filmed. “We finished filming just there,” Marsden joked. “Yes, this could lead to some interesting discussions.”
To put things back on course, the actor returned to working on Sonic 3. He’s not a fan of the term “franchise” and the notion that numerous movies are always successful follow-ups. “Frankly, I dislike the term ‘franchise.’ It refers to a series of films, but sequels don’t materialize as frequently as they used to. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished and the positive feedback from fans. We simply needed to perfect the animation in that first film. Jim is really enjoying himself there, and he’s in his creative zone.”
Instead of “Will we see the old Cyclops? Check out all the pop culture discussion at @ComicBook on social media!”, you could consider paraphrasing it as:
