Deadpool & Wolverine: Marvel Fans Are Losing It Over Spider-Man Reference

As a die-hard Marvel fan, I can’t contain my excitement for the upcoming release of “Deadpool & Wolverine”! The latest trailer teaser has only fueled my anticipation further, with the potential crossover between Deadpool and Spider-Man making my inner nerd jump with joy.

In a few days, the long-awaited collaboration between Deadpool and Wolverine, featuring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, will hit theaters as the sole Marvel Studios production for 2024. Consequently, the marketing team is leaving no stone unturned to promote this blockbuster. With each passing day, they release intriguing clips and trailers to keep fans engaged. On Tuesday, a fresh one-minute trailer clip showcased Lady Deadpool and other members of the Deadpool Corps in greater detail.

As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t help but get excited when I saw the teaser with Deadpool (Reynolds) and Wolverine (Jackman) in the car together. A moment that truly caught my attention was when Deadpool made a nod to everyone’s beloved Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man by using his iconic “THWIP!” hand gesture. It left me wondering if these two superheroes will be teaming up or maybe even butting heads in the upcoming scene.

It’s worth mentioning that director Shawn Levy, who has worked on both Deadpool and Wolverine films, has previously shown enthusiasm for creating a movie featuring these two characters. The likelihood of this happening could hinge on the success of Deadpool 3 at the box office.

In simpler terms, Levy expressed his excitement about Deadpool adding intrigue due to his boldness when thinking about a potential collaboration between Deadpool and Spider-Man, featuring Tom Holland. He expressed his eagerness to create this film, believing Tom Holland would outshine others in the role.

Admit It

If we can’t even admit this is sort of cool .. what’re we doing?

Definitely will be cool to see Deadpool acknowledge Spider-Man in live action.

Who’s Who

I can assure you that when they bring up Marvel characters, Deadpool mimicking Spider-Man’s hand signal doesn’t equate to any deeper connection between those specific characters beyond the fact that there are indeed three distinct individuals being discussed.
