Jenna Anderson, the engaging host of ComicBook’s Phase Zero, left a nearly perfect 4.5-star review for Deadpool and Wolverine. Here’s her take:

In the ongoing debate about superhero fatigue, excessive spoilers, and lackluster storytelling, it’s a refreshing experience to be caught off guard by a new superhero adaptation. The unexpected delight that is Deadpool & Wolverine stands out – with its shocking twists and heartfelt motivations behind them – it’s almost as if by some miracle we’ve stumbled upon a hidden gem. Despite a few minor imperfections, this movie shines through with its larger-than-life storytelling and the infectious camaraderie between its two leading characters. With its unapologetic approach and the captivating performances of its talented cast, Deadpool & Wolverine reminds us of the very reasons we fell in love with superhero films in the first place.

In her critique of Deadpool 3, Molly Freeman from Screen Rant expressed her excitement and anticipation by stating that the movie is “exactly the MCU multiverse adventure I’ve been eagerly looking forward to.”

In the end, the film Deadpool and Wolverine is designed to entertain a wide audience and manages to do so effectively. By cleverly employing the Marvel multiverse, it weaves in numerous references that cater to various tastes. Although it might not appeal to everyone, following some lackluster multiverse films, this collaboration between Deadpool and Wolverine surpassed my expectations.

Ross Bonaime from Collider commended Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman for bringing the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) back to its peak, making it enjoyable and entertaining once again.

The team-up between Deadpool and Wolverine is a thrilling and entertaining addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. These two characters bring unmatched fun and excitement, reminiscent of Spiderman: No Way Home’s successful integration of the past into the present. Deadpool has long been constrained by limitations, but with this new film, we get an even more delightful and unrestrained version of him. The movie also offers closure while satisfying our love for the history of these characters in a meaningful way. Deadpool may not be a Marvel deity, but Deadpool & Wolverine is the refreshing boost that the cinematic universe needed, serving as a reminder of how engaging and enjoyable this world can be when it simply lets go and has fun.

THR’s David Rooney has this much to say, about the mixed-bag experience he had:

As a long-time fan of superhero movies, I’ve seen my fair share of chaotic and over-the-top productions. But this latest film left me feeling both amused and bewildered. There were moments when I found myself laughing out loud at the outrageousness of it all, only to wince in discomfort a beat later.

Eventually, it’s strongly recommended that every Marvel enthusiast takes the time to see Deadpool and Wolverine in action for themselves. The anticipation is high with all the recent spoilers being released, so it would be best to do so as soon as possible.
