However, he hinted that an official announcement regarding the launch date is being prepared and will be made public sometime in 2025.
Kojima shared that while he didn’t disclose the release date during our conversation, it has already been set for a future launch. He is currently gearing up for this event by working on preparations in advance. Given that our discussion revolves around 2025, the release is scheduled for next year, and an announcement will be made sometime within the following year. However, due to some unexpected complications, he is unable to reveal it today.
It appears that the information from Kojima implies that Death Stranding 2 may not have its release date unveiled during The Game Awards 2024, contrary to what many fans might expect.
