Approximately three years back, it was first announced as being in production, and now a director has been secured for the “Death Stranding” movie.
As per a Deadline article, it’s been announced that Michael Sarnoski, renowned for his work on “A Quiet Place: Day One” (2024), will direct the film adaptation of Kojima Productions’ 2019 game title. Besides “A Quiet Place: Day One”, Sarnoski has also directed films like “Pig” (2021) and an upcoming project titled “The Death of Robin Hood”.
Additionally, Lars Knudsen and Ari Aster’s Square Peg are now on board as co-producers for the Death Stranding movie, which was earlier announced to be a collaboration between A24 and Kojima Productions. Previously, game director Hideo Kojima had shared that he is actively participating in the film’s production, taking charge of various aspects such as supervision, plot development, and more.
