DECAPOLICE Delayed to 2026, Will Also Launch for PC

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent exploring open worlds and solving intricate mysteries, I must admit, the news about DECAPOLICE has left me both exhilarated and frustrated in equal measure. Delay after delay, yet each one promises an even more immersive experience. I’ve been waiting for a game that combines the best of detective work with the freedom of an open world since the days of Phoenix Wright and GTA combined.

Level-5’s open-world detective role-playing game DECAPOLICE, which sparked interest upon its announcement last year, appears to be taking longer to reach the market than initially anticipated by its developers. Initially scheduled for release in 2023, the game was delayed to 2024, but has now been postponed once more.

During the Level-5 Vision 2024 conference, it was announced that the release date for DECAPOLICE has been moved to 2026. The delay is due to the studio enhancing both the visuals and content of the game, aiming to create an even more immersive experience. This additional work requires extra time to complete.

Hino reports that Level-5 is busy creating a vast open world for the game DECAPOLICE at present. Additionally, Level-5 Studio is planning to debut an anime series based on this game around the same time as the game’s release. A sneak peek of the game’s trailer has been unveiled, featuring its theme song. You can watch it below.

Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that DECAPOLICE, scheduled for release in 2026, will not only be playable on PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, but also on personal computers (PC).
