Deckbuilder roguelite game ANTHEM#9 for PC launches this winter

The roguelite deck-building game titled ANTHEM#9 is set to debut on PC via Steam this coming winter. This announcement was made jointly by publishers Shueisha Games and developers koeda. Notably, the game will also offer Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options alongside its previously confirmed English and Japanese options.

In this game, you engage in a sequential deck construction role-playing adventure with roguelike elements. Your objective is to fulfill clandestine missions that preserve equilibrium in the world. As a seasoned gamer, I’ve always been intrigued by the enigmatic figure known only as ANTHEM#9. This mysterious entity has an uncanny knack for spotting influential figures and advanced technologies that could potentially disrupt global equilibrium. To maintain peace, they’ve taken it upon themselves to discreetly neutralize these key threats before crises erupt on a global scale, operating in the shadows like a digital guardian.

Rubit – The game’s protagonist and an ANTHEM#9 agent with a mysterious background. Rubit’s actions always follow a principle of balanced beauty. Their talkative personality hides a rational mind which can be ruthless in eliminating targets. A cunning fighter who combines daggers and poison for maximum effect.

Combat Mechanics

Combine Gems to unleash Skills in puzzle-based battles!

Each turn, you’re given a random assortment of Gems in three different colors (Red, Green, Blue). Your goal is to collect the right number of these gems to finish Skill Recipes, which will then enable you to assault your adversaries.

In this game, you have the option to equip as many as four skills in your deck. Each skill can be activated while you still have enough gems for that particular turn. Feel free to mix and match different combinations of skills to create the most powerful combos possible!

About the Creator

koeda is a solo game developer active since 2021.

With no prior experience in the gaming industry, and not being a programmer, koeda decided to revisit an old dream: designing games. This was undertaken after the age of 30, with self-study via tutorial books, persisting even when feeling lost or overwhelmed. Actively participating in indie game exhibitions.

ANTHEM#9 was Koeda’s debut game and it took home the top prize at Shueisha Game Creators CAMP’s “GAME BBQ vol.2” in the “No Demo” category.
