When Def Leppard isn’t traveling the world for concerts, they keep themselves occupied by creating comic books. On a recent Tuesday, this legendary rock band unveiled a collaboration with Vault Comics: a new graphic novel titled “Def Leppard’s Hysteria” under Vault’s music-focused Headsell imprint. This genre-blending work combines elements of horror and action. Phil Collen, Def Leppard’s guitarist, co-wrote the story with comic book veteran Eliot Rahal.
In a press release, Colleen expressed her excitement about the fusion of music and comics in “Hysteria” by Eliot, Alex, and Vault: “This unique blend is both an amazing and crazy notion. I’m elated by their dedication and effort, making it a delightful journey for me. Fans are sure to be captivated.”
As a gamer, I can tell you that from the get-go, this game project felt monumental. Phil presented us with an inspiring vision and the concept of “Hysteria” – a term loaded with history and significance. It’s not just a name; it represents a legacy. And as we worked on the game, I witnessed the idea come to life before my eyes. The team’s dedication was palpable, and the art brought it all together in a breathtaking way. In the graphic novel “Hysteria,” Alex Schlitz was in charge of the artwork. Meanwhile, Fabi Marques and Andworld Design were responsible for the colors and lettering respectively. The release date for this intriguing story about a rocker named Foz discovering her father’s enigmatic guitar is set for April 15, 2025.
