On June 5, Toby Fox’s unique role-playing game, Deltarune, is set to release Chapters 3 and 4 as a package priced at $24.99. This bundle will come with the first two chapters, which were previously free, for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch 2, regular Nintendo Switch, and PC. The creator of Deltarune, Toby Fox, has confirmed that upon its launch, the game will allow cross-generational purchases across the same platform family.
Through a post on his blog, Fox revealed that purchasing Deltarune for either PS5 or PS4 grants access to the game on both systems without any extra cost. On Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, functionality will be similar under the condition that you utilize the same Nintendo Account across both devices.
Through the cross-buy feature, purchasing Deltarune from the PlayStation Store grants you access to both PS4 and PS5 versions at no extra charge, as Fox stated. We’re planning a similar approach for Nintendo platforms! If you buy the game on Nintendo Switch and later decide to upgrade to Switch 2, you can get it free of cost! The same applies in reverse! However, in Japan, there will be a small additional fee due to local laws. Essentially, with one payment, you’ll own both versions of the special room for the game on your chosen Nintendo platform!
