Demi Moore’s Heartfelt Reaction to Mikey Madison’s Oscar Win

Demi Moore thinks her fellow nominee has the substance.

At the 2025 Oscars, when Mikey Madison won the Best Actress in a Leading Role award for her performance in Anora, the so-called “Ghost” star responded with an especially endearing reaction. (To view all the stars who received awards at the 2025 Oscars, click here.)

Indeed, when the actress from Anora – who shared the top award with Demi, having bested Cynthia Erivo, Karla Sofía Gascón, and Fernanda Torres in the process – publicly acknowledged her fellow nominees in a heartfelt manner, Demi expressed her gratitude backstage with a tender gesture that spoke volumes.

On the 2nd of March, Mikey expressed his admiration for the considerate, clever, attractive, awe-inspiring pieces produced by his fellow nominees as he stood on stage. He felt privileged to be acknowledged in their esteemed company.

Following a touching tribute, Demi, adorned in a bespoke silver Armani Privé gown, was spotted with her hands on her chest, beaming sincerely, as she sat among the audience.

On previous occasions, Mikey has expressed her admiration for her fellow nominees. Not long ago, Mikey won the award for Best Lead Actress at the 2025 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs). In a touching gesture, she acknowledged and praised the other actresses who were also contenders for the statuette.

On the stage on February 16, Mikey expressed his admiration to his fellow nominees, saying, “I’m utterly amazed by each one of you. Your performances were stunning, and the most rewarding part of this whole experience has been getting to know every one of you better.

Furthermore, Demi, who received the top lead actress award at this year’s Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards, has mirrored the sentiments of the alum from Better Things in her acceptance speeches. She has expressed that other actors have served as her most valuable teachers throughout her acting career.

Demi expressed her heartfelt thanks for persisting through the years at the 2025 SAG Awards on Feb. 23. She’s grateful for her efforts that led to both successes and failures, but most importantly, for her resilience to carry on.
