It’s been speculated that Gran Turismo 7 was being developed for PC, but at some point, this project seems to have been abandoned. To add to the disappointment, Bryank75, founder of Icon-Era, announced that the remake of Demon’s Souls will not be released on PC or any other platform.
As a gamer, I’ve heard through the grapevine from fellow forum members and admins who claim to have reliable sources, hinting that the highly-anticipated PC release might not happen, at least not in this current console generation. However, Bryank75 has clarified that plans for a PC version still exist, but they’re not exactly top-notch. So, while we shouldn’t rule out the possibility of Sony’s remake coming to PC, it seems we might have to wait a bit longer for it to be something truly exciting.
Sony’s recent performance in porting its exclusive games to PC has shown some ups and downs. While hits like Helldivers 2 and Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut have done well, releases such as Returnal, LEGO Horizon Adventures, Concord, and even Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 initially underperformed on Steam, attracting less than 19,000 players at launch. However, the number of concurrent players for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has since grown to 27,775. A notable change is that many of these titles no longer require a PlayStation Network account.
The upcoming PlayStation title “The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered” will be the first one from our company to release on PC, scheduled for launch on April 3rd. Keep an eye out for more information as we approach that date.
