Sami Sheen is setting the record straight about her family dynamic.
In simpler terms, the oldest child of Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen talked about her connection, or lack of one, with her stepfather Aaron Phypers.
On the Casual Chaos with Gia Giudice podcast on April 13, Sami, aged 21, clarified that their relationship isn’t particularly close. They seldom spend time together or communicate.
Still, she is on board with their relationship since “he makes her happy.”
Indeed, the 21-year-old openly disclosed that Aaron, who married Denise in 2018, has consistently stood as his wife’s most ardent advocate in her line of work that caters exclusively to adults.
Sami stated that she hadn’t discussed her mom or her involvement in OnlyFans with Aaron. However, she mentioned that he assists her with all her content, which shows his strong support for it.
TopMob News has reached out to reps for Denise and Aaron and has not heard back.
Although Sami has a cool relationship with her stepfather, it’s significantly improved compared to her situation with Charlie, who she has severed ties with after a disagreement that occurred post-surgery.
She shared with Gia that it had been nearly a year since they last spoke on the phone, and around half a year since their last text exchange. She explained that despite this, they had grown distant as he was engrossed in his personal projects and quite busy. However, she grew annoyed when he failed to reach out during her nose surgery, especially given that she was upset and needed support.
Sami mentioned that the former star of “Two and a Half Men” sent her a message 24 hours after their initial contact, and their discussion escalated significantly, eventually causing Sami to keep her distance.
She shared, “I’ve kept him blocked for quite some time, and I even needed to block his emails too. Strangely enough, he got a new number over the holidays just to send more bizarre messages, so I had to block that one as well. In the end, I had to put an end to it all by telling him never to contact me again because this behavior is just too outlandish.
TopMob News had reached out to Charlie for comment but did not hear back.
Although their current relationship is chilly, this Wall Street star maintains a robust connection with his 19-year-old daughter Lola Sheen, who is both his and Denise’s.
Sami mentioned, “He and Lola are very close, and he often visits her place.” He also suggested, “I believe she dislikes getting entangled in disputes and such, and she’ll advise me to contact my father instead. I mean, you don’t know the kind of messages he was sending me. So it can be quite annoying that he gives her gifts and pays her visits.
She went on, “Despite our differences, I can’t hold that against her. Sometimes, it’s more convenient to simply avoid addressing the issue.

In 1984, at the tender age of 19, Charlie became a parent for the first time, welcoming his daughter Cassandra into the world with his former high school sweetheart, Paula Profit.
Although Cassandra generally avoids public attention, it was the actor from “Two and a Half Men” who walked her down the aisle at her 2010 wedding to Casey Huffman.
Charlie and his former spouse, Denise Richards, had their oldest child on March 9, 2004, which was two years after their marriage in 2002.
In the year 2008, I stepped into the spotlight for the very first time as I made an appearance on Denise Richards’ reality show, “Denise Richards: It’s Complicated,” when I was just a young girl.
More than ten years have passed, and in 2022, she gained widespread recognition when she started modeling for OnlyFans just after her eighteenth birthday. Since then, her career choice has proven to be financially successful for her.
In a conversation with People magazine back in February 2025, I shared, “It has provided me with numerous opportunities, and I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some truly amazing individuals along the way. The freedom that comes with being my own boss, setting my own schedule, and pursuing my dreams has been incredibly fulfilling.
Lola, who was only 3 years old when ‘It’s Complicated’ was released, developed into a person quite distinct from her elder sister, who was known for pushing boundaries.
Born June 1, 2005, she is a woman of God and a devout Christian.
In a February 2025 interview with People, the restaurant hostess expressed that she can’t find any other words to describe the event except that it felt supernatural. She went on to share her personal experience, stating that Jesus saved her and fundamentally transformed her mindset. For her, Jesus is not only a Savior but also a cherished friend.
The teen also shared how religion saved her from the darkness of depression.
She openly shared on Instagram that she had been feeling overwhelmed, struggling to keep going each day. However, someone illuminated her path when she couldn’t find her own way, leading her out of the shadows. For her, Jesus provided relief from debilitating anxiety and bestowed upon her a tranquility that seems inexplicable.
After parting ways with Charlie, Denise – now single – welcomed her youngest child Eloise into her family as an infant in 2011. In the year 2016, she received a diagnosis revealing a deletion on chromosome 8, leading to difficulties in Eloise’s development of walking and speech.
In an interview with People in March 2025, the mother proudly stated, “Eloise is such a beacon of positivity!” She has a knack for finding joy in everything, and her infectious enthusiasm is contagious. Even the older siblings notice it. When they quarrel, Eloise’s peaceful demeanor often serves as a reminder to them that their squabbles are trivial, leading them to laugh off their disagreements more easily.
Charlie and his third spouse, Brooke Mueller, welcomed twin sons named Bob Sheen and Max Sheen on March 14, 2009. The pair separated not long after, with Bob and Max residing primarily with Denise amidst their parents’ turbulent separation.
In 2023, Charlie got candid about raising his youngest children as a single dad.
He mentioned to People that due to his mother being preoccupied with solving some issues, she hasn’t been visible as much lately. However, he described them as extremely charming, intelligent, and humorous.
At their mother’s 47th birthday party in August 2024, the usually private twins decided to make an exception and attend the event.
It’s worth noting that Charlie, who we know as Carlos Estévez, hails from a well-known lineage. His father, Martin Sheen, is a legendary actor with a film career extending over six decades. (Ramon Estévez being his birth name.)
Charlie’s elder sibling, Emilio Estevez, similarly took after their father by appearing in renowned movies such as The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo’s Fire, Mission: Impossible, and The Mighty Ducks.
The stars also share brother Ramon Estévez and sister Renée Estévez.
