Deonna Purrazzo Praises AEW Women's Locker Room Amidst Britt Baker Drama

As a seasoned gamer who has witnessed the rollercoaster ride that is professional wrestling for decades now, I must say, the AEW women’s locker room drama has been quite the intriguing narrative unfolding. Having followed TNA in its heyday and now watching AEW, I can’t help but draw parallels between the two.

As a devoted AEW fan, I’ve always appreciated the positive vibes in their locker room environments. However, the infamous brawl between CM Punk and The Elite a few years back raised some eyebrows. Fortunately, things seemed to settle down afterwards with less drama.

Deonna Purrazzo Defends AEW Women’s Locker Room

When asked about the difference between TNA and AEW locker rooms, Purrazzo comments that they are quite alike. Having spent several years with TNA, she viewed the roster as family. She explained to Stephanie Chase of She Digressed, “I believe this was an incident that caused a lot of tension and it snowballed, becoming larger than it actually was. The rumor mill churns out stories, things aren’t what they seem at first, people share their opinions, and the situation gets blown out of proportion.”

As a gamer, I believe the recent incident was an outlier due to the overwhelmingly supportive, encouraging, and camaraderie-filled environment in this locker room. We even celebrated our teammates’ birthdays with cakes and songs just recently! This place deserves more recognition for its unique camaraderie vibe. Frankly, I can only share my personal experiences, but it seems to me that we haven’t received as much credit as we should. I wonder what it was like before – all I know is this locker room feels special in a way that not everyone understands.

The ban on Baker has been lifted by AEW, allowing her to square off against Mercedes Mon? at the upcoming AEW All In, following weeks of intense verbal exchanges. Meanwhile, Purrazzo is engaged in one of AEW’s most buzzing non-title women’s feuds with the former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa. Their confrontation will mark the first-ever women’s Bullrope match in AEW and just the second such event in the promotion.
