It seems that Madden NFL 25 has taken the top spot yet again, with EA Sports College Football 25 nipping at its heels in second place.

In August 2024, Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws adventure game ranked third in US sales, according to Mat Piscatella, a Circana executive director and advisor. On Twitter-like platform Bluesky, Piscatella shared that the month’s top-selling game was Electronic Arts’ Madden NFL 25, with EA Sports College Football 25 taking second place. This latter title had been the most popular game in July 2024.
Star Wars Outlaws is presently rated at 75 on Metacritic, receiving mixed reviews. While many appreciate aspects of its narrative and environment, several critics have pointed out flaws in the gameplay mechanics and persistent technical glitches.
In August 2024, the PlayStation 5 led as the top-selling console in terms of both unit and dollar sales, with the Xbox Series X|S coming in second across both metrics. A fall filled with questions

Ubisoft mentioned that Star Wars Outlaws had fewer sales than anticipated when they pushed back the release date for Assassin’s Creed Shadows to February 2024. This is supported by the fact that the game isn’t currently among the top 20 best-selling titles this year. Furthermore, the delay of Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes away one major blockbuster title for the current calendar year.
