As a dedicated Destiny 2 gamer with countless hours invested in mastering every aspect of the game, I can’t help but feel elated by this latest announcement from Bungie. The return of Onslaught Attunement is a breath of fresh air for those of us who have grown tired of the grind for that perfect weapon roll.
In June and July, “The Final Shape” and “Episode 1: Echoes” are the main events for “Destiny 2” players, leaving “Onslaught” somewhat neglected. Luckily, fans of this game mode can look forward to wielding BRAVE Arsenal weapons again soon.
According to “This Week at Destiny,” starting from now, Zavala in the Tower will provide a new menu for Onslaught Weapon Attunement. By choosing a weapon to attune, its likelihood of dropping during Onslaught activities is boosted by 60% (previously 50%). This benefit comes without any cooling-down period, allowing you to switch your preferred weapon at any time. Though it’s still reliant on Random Number Generation for obtaining the best rolls, this improvement makes farming more efficient.
With update 8.0.5, the latest Onslaught Attunement becomes active, though its release date still remains undetermined (it’s expected to align with the early August adjustments to Exotic Class items). Bungie will share more information about the upcoming Solstice event and weapon/armor adjustments in due time, so keep an eye out for updates.
