As a long-time fan of the original Dexter series and someone who has followed Michael C Hall’s career since his Six Feet Under days, I must say I am both excited and intrigued by the upcoming prequel, Dexter: Original Sin. The idea of delving deeper into the backstory of one of television’s most complex characters is a tantalizing prospect, especially with Patrick Gibson stepping into Hall’s shoes as a younger Dexter.

Hall shared his thoughts on reprising his famous role for both Dexter: Original Sin and Resurrection: “It’s quite overwhelming. I feel like I’m being transported back to my first Comic-Con visit. We were in this hall… it feels like yesterday? It’s astounding to still be here. Living, I mean.
