Did Agatha All Along Just Drop a Major Clue About Rio's Identity?

As a seasoned gamer and Marvel enthusiast with a penchant for unraveling intricate plots, I must admit that the latest twists in Agatha All Along have me thoroughly hooked. The theory that Rio Vidal could be none other than Death in disguise is not only tantalizing but also aligns perfectly with my love for hidden identities and unexpected plot twists.

In Episode 4, Agatha All Along escorted Rio Vidal to The Witches’ Road. It’s possible that Aubrey Plaza’s character might be concealing a hidden identity – perhaps even the Marvel villain Death. Last week’s episode saw Mrs. Hart meet her tragic end during a potion trial on The Witches’ Road, and the coven hastily arranged her burial to continue their journey. Despite this, Jennifer Kale, Alice Wu-Gulliver, and Lillia Calderu are adamant that Agatha Harkness should recruit a new Green Witch to fill in for Sharon. As soon as the spell was spoken, Rio Vidal emerged from the very grave where Mrs. Hart lay buried, which has sparked a flurry of speculation online about Aubrey Plaza’s character. Could it be that Aubrey Plaza is so skillfully hiding her portrayal of Death from the rest of the coven? Let’s examine the evidence to see if it all adds up.

Initially, emerging from an unidentified tomb feels quite “morbid” or “deathly.” Additionally, there are still many aspects about Rio Vidal’s true connection with Agatha Harkness that have yet to be shown on screen. It appears Aubrey Plaza’s character holds a grudge against our beloved nuisance. Keen Marvel enthusiasts have spotted a correlation between the death tarot card featured in Agatha All Along and Rio Vidal’s character design. Pay attention to that distinctive dagger! Furthermore, we discover that the latest addition to the coven is a Green Witch. Might life and death forces be intricately linked within the Marvel Cinematic Universe? This could explain her powers based on life and no one would even suspect a thing…

Did Agatha All Along Just Drop a Major Clue About Rio's Identity?

If Rio Vidal indeed conceals her true identity as Death, it becomes clearer why she recognized that Joe Locke’s “Teen” is not Nicholas Scratch, Agatha’s long-lost son. Many viewers have been trying to decipher the mystery surrounding Nicholas Scratch and the Darkhold in this series. Last episode, Jennifer Kale hinted that Teen should be cautious about trusting Agatha due to her questionable actions regarding her son. This suspicion over Nicholas Scratch casts a shadow on Teen’s safety and potentially his loyalty to the coven once they reach The Witches’ Road. Given Death’s impending arrival, it seems she has compelling reasons for embarking on this perilous journey to regain her powers. As we proceed with the show, we’ll discover how everything unfolds.

What’s Up With Rio’s New Look?

Did Agatha All Along Just Drop a Major Clue About Rio's Identity?

In Episode 4 of Agatha All Along, Rio Vidal was significantly reintroduced into the narrative. Many viewers pondered whether Aubrey Plaza’s character had been sidelined for the latter part of the story. However, rest assured that Agatha has taken over and is now poised to create chaos! As for Rio, more secrets are yet to be revealed. But for now, there’s a fragile peace with our beloved coven.

In the most recent episode, the wardrobe switch for the witch is bound to catch some eyes’ attention. And even her previous appearance before the trial was markedly different from how Agatha All Along appeared when she first debuted. ComicBook noticed the attention to detail in the clothing design and had a chat with Daniel Selon, the costume designer for the Disney+ series during the fan gathering. Selon walked us through each witch’s unique style on their journey. (Notably, our late Sharon – her floral attire will remain iconic.)

Selon explained that the character she designed was a ‘green witch,’ and she drew inspiration from nature for her costume. Upon closer inspection, there’s a rich depth to the design. She sought out delicate fabrics, similar in thickness to onion skin, to achieve the layering effect in the piece. As you take a closer look, you can see various layers of different foils and netting that were carefully placed to create the illusion of a living garment. The entire outfit was hand-dyed, with every detail meticulously crafted by hand using traditional dyeing methods, and each stitch was also done by hand.
