Did Dragon Ball Daima Already Introduce the Demon Realm’s Leader?

As a seasoned Dragon Ball fan with over two decades under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming anime, Dragon Ball Daima, has me buzzing like a Super Saiyan 3! The latest revelations about the Demon Realm and its enigmatic leader have me on the edge of my seat.

The upcoming anime series titled “Dragon Ball Daima” is slated for release later this Fall, and there’s a possibility that it has already unveiled the enigmatic leader of the Demon Realm. This fresh addition to the Dragon Ball universe will offer a storyline distinct from any previously released Dragon Ball anime or manga. As the 40th anniversary of Akira Toriyama’s iconic Dragon Ball manga approaches, this new anime series is an exciting way for the franchise to celebrate and honor this significant milestone.

In Dragon Ball Daima, there’s a fresh tale penned by the late Akira Toriyama and featuring brand-new character designs for the upcoming series. This new journey in the series will delve into the Demon Realm, where Goku Mini and the Mini Supreme Kai find themselves embroiled due to a strange conspiracy. However, the mastermind behind it all could very well have been unmasked with the recent trailer release.

Dragon Ball: Who Is in Charge of the Demon Realm?

In the most recent update on “Dragon Ball Daima”, we’re introduced to a previously unseen character who bears a strong resemblance to the Supreme Kai. This enigmatic figure appears to be working for another party, and it’s plausible that this hidden entity is deeply involved in the central plot twist of the new storyline. As of now, the identity of this newcomer remains undisclosed, adding to the intrigue as we await the official announcement of characters who will be showcased in the upcoming series.

It’s plausible that this character is a Supreme Kai himself, but he might be responsible for managing the Demon Realm rather than Universe 7, which is overseen by our familiar Supreme Kai. It seems possible that he holds a leadership role within the lower universe, although it could also mirror the Supreme Kai hierarchy structure. We’ve learned that even the Supreme Kai isn’t the highest authority in the universe.

Dragon Ball: What New Demons Are From the Demon Realm?

In the upcoming “Dragon Ball Daima” series, we’ll delve deeper into Universe 7, particularly the Demon Realm, introducing a fresh tier of characters. The new Kaioshin might be dealing with a perilous adversary, comparable in strength to Beerus or Whis in the celestial spheres. As this anime delves deeper, it’s possible that Goku may encounter demonic opponents possessing the same power as the deities he’s previously fought against.

In promotional materials for Dragon Ball Daima, Beerus and Whis have yet to appear, suggesting that these powerful beings may not offer assistance to Goku in his upcoming battles. Furthermore, with Goku’s Mini form reducing his power levels closer to mortal ones, it seems he might find himself at a disadvantage against the challenges ahead, as Ultra Instinct may no longer be an option for him.

Is Dragon Ball Daima Canon?

These questions really wouldn’t mean much if the series wasn’t a part of the official canon, and luckily Dragon Ball fans can rest easy knowing that it’s going to be. With the late Akira Toriyama providing the original story and characters before his passing, it means that this series will be slotting firmly in place with the rest of the projects we have seen thus far. As for when in the Dragon Ball timeline it will be set, it’s looking more like an official Dragon Ball Z sequel than a Dragon Ball Super one.

Without certain characters from “Dragon Ball Super,” and hints that a demon is observing events up until the Majin Buu saga, it seems we’re approaching the timeline of “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.” Luckily, we won’t have to wait too much longer as “Dragon Ball Daima” is set to debut in Japan on October 11th. However, its international streaming platforms and release dates haven’t been confirmed yet as of this publication.
