On May 15, Ventura admitted that the exact number of times she and Combs engaged in unusual activities together remains unknown. However, she estimated it to be around hundreds.
She claimed that her former partner secretly recorded their intimate acts with the intention of using them as leverage to harm her. She stated that he threatened to disclose these recordings, potentially damaging her professional reputation.
Ventura stated, “He often brought them up when he was frustrated about something. This seemed to happen quite frequently,” Ventura explained. “I felt threatened for my job security, as well as the safety of my family. It was all rather humiliating and deplorable. Such actions are inexcusable and should never be inflicted upon anyone.
On May 14th, Ventura testified that she received a $20 million settlement from her former boyfriend Combs, following a lawsuit she filed against him in November 2023. The lawsuit alleged that he had sexually assaulted and physically abused her throughout their relationship.
Testifying about events from 2018, Ventura claimed that after enjoying a pleasant dinner with Combs at a restaurant in Malibu and finding him particularly amiable, he subsequently went to her apartment where he allegedly sexually assaulted her. She was already involved with Alex Fine at the time, whom she later married in 2019.
She testified that I entered, and then he violently attacked me on our living room floor. All I recall is sobbing and pleading for him to stop, yet it happened swiftly. His eyes seemed empty, not his usual self – it felt as if a part of me was being taken away from me.
Lawyers for Combs argue that he never engaged in any sexual acts without consent, and claim that the individuals accusing him of sexual misconduct willingly participated in any sexual activities involved.
On another instance following the alleged attack, Ventura admitted to having consensual sexual encounters with Combs on one additional occasion. When asked about her decision to engage in intimacy again, she explained, “It’s not as simple as turning off feelings like that. I still held a positive image of who he was as an individual.
2011 saw Ventura ending her relationship with Scott Mescudi, better known as Kid Cudi, due to a perceived threat from Diddy. According to her testimony, Diddy warned that Scott’s vehicle could be destroyed.
Ventura expressed in court that there was excessive risk and ambiguity about potential outcomes should they continue their meetings. He stated that Sean had threatened them with harm.

On the second day of his testimony, Ventura described the 2016 hotel incident that was recorded on CCTV cameras and broadcast by CNN in May 2024.
She stated that Combs hurled a vase at her following his attempt to prevent her from exiting the Intercontinental Hotel, which was followed by a physical attack on her.
During his court testimony on May 14, Ventura stated, “I recall it moving towards me. It struck the wall instead of me. I wasn’t harmed. He was shouting at me. I believe he hurled it at me, though I can’t recollect his exact words. I’m certain he didn’t use my name.
However, she said that Combs told her “that I wasn’t going to leave him, that I couldn’t.”
Immediately following the hotel incident, Ventura mentioned that she needed to attend the debut of her movie “The Perfect Match” sporting bruises on her face and body with Combs. To conceal her black eye and swollen lip, she also had to use a lot of makeup. Furthermore, she noted that she switched her attire due to having multiple bruises on her legs.
On May 13, the singer declared under oath that Diddy assaulted her in the hallway of a Los Angeles hotel back in March 2016. This altercation allegedly occurred because Diddy was angered by her exiting a “freak off,” as they referred to it. The footage from the hotel’s surveillance cameras, which captured the incident, was made public by CNN in 2024. Unfortunately for the defense, their attempt to keep this video from being used as evidence failed.
In response to the court, Ventura explained that he decided to depart. As I stepped out, Sean accompanied me into the corridor and forcefully seized me, pushing me down, kicking me, and dragging me back to the room before taking my belongings.
Instead of participating, she found herself in a situation where she didn’t want to be, as she had a movie premiere scheduled just a few days later and desired to keep Combs content. In her words, “If I could appease him by performing an unexpected favor,” Ventura said, “then my premiere would proceed without a hitch.
In the situation that unfolded, all I could focus on was escaping the place unscathed, as my debut was imminent and I didn’t wish to jeopardize it. After he struck me with a black eye, I carried on, but when he shoved me to the ground in the hallway, I decided to stay down to prevent any further harm he might inflict.
Testified Ventura that she consumed alcohol and ecstasy during her initial sexual encounter with an escort while in Combs’ presence. To endure “freak offs,” she admitted to using marijuana, ketamine, mushrooms, or whichever drug was popular at the time.
“I couldn’t imagine myself doing any of that without having some sort of buffer,” she said.
Occasionally, she’d become so overwhelmed that she’d “vomit in disgust” during heated arguments, Ventura explained, and Combs would urge me to gather myself and carry on with the situation.
She expressed to Combs that the disrespectful actions made her feel extremely bad about herself, even worthless, according to Ventura, but he seemed to downplay her worries.
Following an unusual incident, it appears that baby oil covered the entire hotel room, according to Ventura’s testimony. If Combs had asked someone to wet the bed, there might also be traces of urine on the sheets. Moreover, if she was menstruating during this event, Ventura suggested that there could potentially be blood stains not only on the sheets but also on the furniture.
According to Ventura, being urinated on left her feeling “deeply embarrassed.” She stated, “It was vile, it was beyond the limit. I gagged, I didn’t wish to be in such a situation, I found myself stuck where I couldn’t easily escape.
According to Ventura, it was something he found appealing, which led to the event occurring. When Emily A. Johnson, the prosecutor, asked her why she didn’t resist Combs’ instructions in these instances, she simply stated that she believed it was clear that she didn’t want to comply.
Testified on the 13th of May, Ventura stated that Combs guided both her and the other “freak off” participants to apply baby oil all over their bodies.
She stated in court that Sean required the item to be hot and shiny, so we would reapply it every five minutes.
At the Montage Beverly Hills, during a surprising incident, Ventura claimed that Combs had suggested she enter an inflatable pool full of baby oil, while she was still dressed.
She wasn’t keen on it, but if it was something he truly desired, then that’s exactly what would transpire, she emphasized. “We employed a full dozen of standard-sized baby oil bottles,” she added.
Ventura disclosed to prosecutors on May 13 that during the initial phase of a decade-long liaison with Combs, he suggested integrating voyeurism into their intimate activities. This started when she arranged for an escort and set up a scenario for him to observe, involving her “performing” in the presence of another individual, which was intended for Combs’ enjoyment.
Ultimately, she found herself regularly organizing what Combs referred to as “freak off” sexual encounters, which often lasted from 36 hours up to four days. This role became her occupation or line of work.
She remembered, “I arranged for it in our hotel room and everything else at first, Sean organized it.
Ventura said that her “stomach churned” when he first proposed the experience.
She admitted, “I didn’t initially understand why it would excite him, but I took on the task.” She confessed that she was perplexed, anxious, yet deeply in love with him and desired his happiness. It wasn’t something she eagerly looked forward to, especially given how frequently it occurred, but her love for him compelled her to make him happy.
She admitted, “At some point, I felt I didn’t have much of a choice.”
In a statement, Ventura revealed that Combs was often aggressive towards her during their relationship, which spanned from 2007 to 2018.
She informed the jury that their disagreements were indeed aggressive, often escalating into acts of physical violence such as striking her head forcefully, causing her to fall, pulling her roughly, and kicking her.
She mentioned that her injuries were usually noticeable, explaining, “I’d frequently develop lumps on my forehead, have black and red eyes, as well as bruises covering various parts of my body.
On May 13th, it was expected that Ventura would testify following Daniel Philip, and the defense asked to place her in the witness stand prior to the jury’s entrance, as she is currently eight months pregnant.
Defense attorney Marc Agnifilo expressed to the judge that he perceives a certain bias, saying: “Beauty and wonder are inherent in pregnancy, making it an experience that can elicit compassion.

On one particular instance when Ventura didn’t immediately respond to Combs’ call for her, Philip testified on May 12 that Combs, in a fit of anger, hurled a liquor bottle in her vicinity. He then allegedly grabbed her by the hair and forced her into the bedroom. “She was screaming,” Philip recalled from his perspective, and from another room it sounded to him like Combs was slapping her. According to Philip, Combs said something along the lines of, “I told you to come here, you come here now, not later.
Phillip said he was “terrified” and did not intervene.
He also declared that on a different occasion, he perceived sounds suggesting that Combs was physically harming Ventura at the Essex House hotel in New York. “I caught snatches of her saying ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry,’ and someone was being hit and shoved around the room,” Philip stated. “Peeking around the corner, I saw Mr. Combs exit the hotel completely, he might have been draped with a towel.
Ventura exited the room and leaped onto Philip’s lap, as he testified. “She essentially tried to reassure me that ‘everything’s alright’ and ‘I’ll be fine,'” Philip added. “And I responded, ‘This is not acceptable and you need professional assistance.’
“I tried to explain to her that she was in real danger if she stayed with him,” Phillip said.
In response to a question from prosecutor Maureen Comey about why he didn’t contact the authorities, Philip stated that he perceived Combs as someone who wielded immense power. He suggested that even if he had reported the matter to the police, there was a possibility that he might still have faced harm.
Daniel Philip, who claimed to be managing a male strip show during the specified period, testified that he received around several thousand dollars for engaging in sexual activities with Ventura while Diddy (Combs) was present at Manhattan’s Gramercy Hotel in 2012. Philip stated that Combs was dressed in a robe, a baseball cap, and a mask hiding his face, but he identified him by his voice.
Ventura compensated him and mentioned to him that she would give him a tip upon her departure, as per Philip’s statement before the court. Later on, they engaged in sexual activities, applying baby oil on each other for a brief period. Meanwhile, Combs was observed sitting in a corner, engaging in self-stimulation.
Afterward, the witness continued, Ventura gave him “a couple of thousand more.”
Over the following year, Philip shared that he had numerous instances where both Ventura and Combs reached out to arrange similar meetings at various hotels and their homes in New York City. He claimed that on one or two occasions, Combs videotaped him and Ventura during intimate moments, and at times, Combs would join in and have sexual encounters with Ventura while Philip was present.
In a 2023 lawsuit against her former partner for claims of sexual assault and physical violence, Ventura asserted that Combs coerced her into having intimate relations with male escorts.
According to Florez’s testimony, Ventura appeared frightened. She was huddled in a corner, with her hood on and herself concealed. Her face wasn’t visible, and she seemed to be hiding in the corner. Nearby, there was a shattered flower vase.
Upon Ventura’s departure from the hotel, I noticed she had a noticeable purple eye, as Florez mentioned. After she was out of sight, Florez and the desk manager decided to pay a visit upstairs to remind Combs about the “hotel regulations.” According to Florez, Combs assumed the manager was secretly recording him on his phone, which led him to grab it. When Combs attempted to seize my phone in response, Florez stated that he restrained Combs against a wall. “We assured him we weren’t recording him,” Florez testified, “and de-escalated the situation.
In court proceedings during May 2024, the prosecution presented slowed-down surveillance footage of an attack involving Combs and Ventura, which had previously been accused by the defense of being sped up to exaggerate the violence. Additionally, the jury was shown a video taken by Florez on his cell phone, responding to a distress call on the sixth floor, recorded at an earlier date.
Florez stated that he chose not to contact the police immediately since Ventura refused to discuss what occurred and expressed a desire to depart.
The police officer identified as Israel Florez served as a security guard at the InterContinental Hotel when Combs allegedly assaulted Ventura on March 5th, 2016. In her opening statement, Geragos referred to the surveillance footage of the attack, which was initially released by CNN in May 2024, as strong evidence suggesting domestic violence. However, he clarified that it wasn’t primarily related to allegations of sex trafficking, but rather infidelity discovered on a cell phone.

“Sean Combs is a complicated man,” she said, “but this is not a complicated case.”
Geragos went on to say that the matter at hand pertains to Sean Combs’ private, intimate sexual affairs. He emphasized that this has no bearing on his legitimate business endeavors.
In her statement to the court, she explained that her client exhibited aggressive behavior, used illicit substances, and struggled with anger management issues. However, it’s important to note that he isn’t on trial for being rude or unpleasant. His charges do not involve those behaviors.
Geragos stated, “The evidence will reveal an imperfect person, yet it won’t depict them as a racketeer, a sex trafficker, or someone involved in transporting for prostitution.
Court reporter, NBC News, stated that during the hearing, Prosecutor Emily Johnson alleged that Defendant Combs orchestrated a vast system of employees who executed unlawful activities such as multi-day “freak offs,” as outlined in the federal indictment.
She informed the jury that he occasionally referred to himself as a king and demanded such treatment to satisfy his every whim. Additionally, she alleged he exploited his businesses to coerce women into sexual acts in the presence of male escorts. Furthermore, it was suggested that he and his close associates ensured all his desires were met at any cost.
In my opening statement to the jury, I presented Combs as an extraordinary individual, a towering figure, who was at the helm of a criminal organization.

I accused Combs of brutally assaulting her, kicking her in the back and carelessly tossing her around like a piece of clothing, once he found her.
She went on to say that he had made a threat against her, warning her that if she disobeyed him once more, he would expose private videos of her engaging in intimate acts with male escorts, effectively unveiling the most embarrassing moments of her past.
The prosecutor alleged that Combs’ inner circle covered up “crime after crime.”
The leading judge, Arun Subramanian, expressed to the jury his expectation that the trial might wrap up by the Fourth of July. He mentioned that he anticipates completion by then, though there’s a chance it may extend past that date, but he doesn’t foresee such an outcome.
On the opening day of his sex trafficking trial on May 12, his mother, Janice Combs, and six of his oldest children were by his side.
