The anime series “Digimon Adventure” is currently marking its 25th anniversary milestone, and as part of the festivities, it’s offered fans a sneak peek at the designs of their adult DigiDestined characters. To launch the 25th anniversary celebrations, “Digimon” revealed some unique projects that would be developed to honor this special occasion. In line with previous anniversary events, the plan is to reunite the original DigiDestined for another exciting journey. However, unlike past celebrations, this time around there’s a twist in how everything unfolds regarding the scale of the project.
For the 25th anniversary of Digimon, a fresh anime project titled Digimon Adventure: Beyond is underway. This unique venture will offer a memorable music video experience, reuniting Tai and Matt following the events depicted in Digimon Adventure Last Evolution Kizuna. Despite the movie suggesting an end to their adventures, this new music video will age the duo even further. Take a sneak peek at the revamped adult designs of Tai and Matt from Digimon Adventure: Beyond, as discovered by @WithTheWill on X.
We now have access to character artwork in color for Digimon Adventure Beyond, along with the logo and colored images of products from an update on the Cassette Project. More details can be found by clicking on the link provided below!

What Is Digimon Adventure: Beyond Exactly?
Hey there! As a massive Digimon fan, I’m thrilled to share that Hiroyuki Kakudo, who directed the initial two seasons of Digimon Adventure, is back at the helm for Digimon Adventure: Beyond, a unique music video extravaganza set to premiere during Digimon Con 2025 in March. This special project picks up where Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning leaves off (which follows the storyline of Digimon Adventure Last Evolution Kizuna). In this continuation, our beloved heroes Tai and Matt will find themselves reunited with Agumon and Gabumon once more. But unlike their final adventure portrayed in the movie, these characters will be a bit more seasoned, adding an exciting twist to their digital exploits!
reboot” series in 2020. However, there’s going to be another special tribute to these original characters that fans are still bidding farewell to. So let’s cherish and celebrate Tai and Matt while they’re still here.
What’s After Digimon’s 20th Anniversary?
Looking ahead at the journey of this beloved franchise, I recall a previous conversation with Hiromi Seki, former producer of Digimon, who shared exciting insights with Crunchyroll. She mentioned that a fresh team is emerging, taking over the reins and planning the next steps for Digimon Adventure. This new generation of producers will be spearheading a revitalized Digimon Adventure crew, generating innovative ideas as they move forward. Seki also hinted at the ongoing evolution of Digimon, assuring us that it will continue to grow and transform from this point onwards.
Seki stated that the freshly appointed team, spearheaded by a new producer, will contemplate the direction for the next phase of “Digimon”. Here’s hoping you continue to cheer and back “Digimon”, as it appears its future in the anime world is promising and vibrant. While we don’t know the specific details yet, it seems that the franchise is gearing up for further growth in the coming times.
