Leading up to my game’s 25th birthday celebration and expansion pack unveiling, things were rather calm on the new content front for Sims 4. However, there was an exceptional deluge of new Kits for the game instead! EA has been shaking things up with their release strategy for Sims 4 Kits, introducing creator collaborations and even simultaneous three-pack drops occasionally.
To choose the best new Kits for your collection in The Sims 4, it can feel daunting given all the options available. But don’t worry! We are examining every Kit released in 2025 for The Sims 4, to make your decision-making process easier.
1. Comfy Gamer
Kit Type: Architecture & Decor (Build Mode)
Best For: Leveling Up Your Sim’s Video Game Streamer Setup
This Kit caters specifically to those who prefer the Build Mode in The Sims 4, providing an abundance of fresh game-themed items to embellish their virtual environment. If you’re someone who spends more time creating characters than building spaces, this might not be for you. However, considering that a significant number of Sims 4 enthusiasts are gamers when it comes to this game, these Build Mode items could prove quite appealing.
This collection features a gaming console controller, a dual-screen computer, a modern desk, and an assortment of adorable desk accessories. Although the desk isn’t particularly exciting, the desk items are quite appealing. There’s a brand new keyboard, a soothing candle, and even a nostalgic poster from The Sims. If you love transforming your Sims into live streamers or intricately customizing the small Build Mode details, this accessory set is an ideal enhancement.
2. Business Chic (Creator Kit)
Kit Type: Fashion & Style (Create-a-Sim)
Best For: Giving Your Sims Professional Glow Up
Madlen has designed this Kit, which introduces 25 contemporary business attire options for Create-a-Sim. It features a blend of masculine and feminine clothing items and accessories, including new high heels, boots, men’s dress shoes, tops, pants, and complete outfits. This Kit provides a fresh, modern update to the business wear in The Sims 4, making it ideal for getting your Sim ready for the small business owner life when the Businesses & Hobbies expansion pack arrives on March 6th.
This Set boasts some fantastic fresh additions for a more refined appearance, yet it caters to a particular niche. If you delight in dressing your Sims in tailored work attire or preparing them for prosperity in unconventional professions, this seems like a wise purchase.
3. Refined Living Room (Creator Kit)
Kit Type: Architecture & Decor (Build Mode)
Best For: A More Modern Living Room Look
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled about the latest addition to my Sims 4 collection – the Pierisim Build Mode Kit! This kit is all about enhancing my Sims’ living spaces with a fresh, modern twist. There are a total of 25 new furniture and decor pieces to play around with, each one adding that perfect touch to my Sims’ stylish abodes. The new desk lamp, privacy divider, swivel chair, along with some tasteful sculptures and clutter items, have given my Sims’ living room a sleek, contemporary look that I can’t get enough of!
This collection offers a pleasant update to the options for creating a Sim’s living room that feels like home. With its focus on Build Mode, this Kit is ideal for people who take pleasure in customizing their Sim’s environment thoroughly. On the other hand, those who prefer to jump straight into the action by placing fully furnished homes might find it less appealing. For decor enthusiasts, though, it serves as a valuable enhancement.
4. Secret Sanctuary
Kit Type: Architecture & Decor (Mix of Build Mode & Create-a-Sim)
Best For: Creating a High-Society Lair for Your Sims
The “Secret Sanctuary” Kit for “The Sims 4” is an assortment of items that blend both Build/Buy and Create-a-Sim features. The furniture exudes a sophisticated, mysterious castle ambiance, while the Create-a-Sim outfits offer timeless classics like pearl earrings and a fluffy nightgown.
In my opinion, this Kit is a delightful addition for certain types of interior design, yet it doesn’t contain any essential pieces. The Create-a-Sim items are elegantly designed, though not overly complex, and the furniture maintains a similar level of simplicity. If certain items particularly appeal to you, by all means, grab them! However, if they don’t catch your eye, you might want to save your Simoleons for the upcoming Expansion Pack instead.
5. Casanova Cave
Kit Type: Everyday Activities (Mix of Build Mode & Create-a-Sim)
Best For: Expanding the Masculine Wardrobe Options in Create-a-Sim
In simpler terms, “The Sims 4” can be considered as the more masculine alternative to the more femininely coded “Secret Sanctuary”. It provides straightforward and minimalist Build Mode items, along with some new, upscale Create-a-Sim appearances tailored for male Sims. As for whether “The Sims 4” required another bar option, it might not have been essential, but this Kit adds one to the game.
Many players find that the male character customization options in Create-a-Sim fall short compared to the female ones. This Accessory Pack includes 14 new items such as sunglasses, jewelry, and an open robe to pair with the red puffy one from the Secret Sanctuary Kit. If you’re keen on expanding your masculine Sims’ wardrobes, it might be a worthwhile purchase, but there are more enticing Packs currently available if that doesn’t interest you.
