After a considerable wait, fans are thrilled that directors Danny Boyle and Alex Garland are back in the 28 Days Later universe, this time with a sequel titled 28 Years Later.
In this fresh film, a brand-new ensemble, headed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, Alfie Williams, and Ralph Fiennes, takes center stage. The story resumes approximately three decades later, following the fury virus’s outbreak in Britain.
Just like many horror flicks, this film boasts a chilling, attention-grabbing soundtrack, composed by some past associates of Boyle. However, one might wonder, what tunes can be found on the movie’s playlist?
Read on for everything you need to know about the soundtrack of 28 Years Later.
Who composed the score for 28 Years Later?

The music arrangement for the movie “28 Years Later” was created by the Scottish hip-hop trio, Young Fathers, which consists of Alloysious Massaquoi, Kayus Bankole, and ‘G’ Hastings.
This group is recognized for their studio releases such as “Dead,” “Black Men Too,” “Cocoa Sugar,” and “Heavy Heavy,” in addition to their mixtapes titled “Tape One” and “Tape Two.
In my experience, I find that my music has been featured in various movies like Assassin’s Creed and Danny Boyle’s T2 Trainspotting, along with episodes from series such as Ray Donovan, Waterloo Road, The Blacklist, Feel Good, Industry, One of Us Is Lying, and Swagger.
28 Years Later is the first feature film they have composed the full soundtrack for.
