Discover the Heartwarming Moments in Meghan Markle’s New Netflix Series!

You don’t need to respond with an RSVP since Meghan Markle is extending an invitation for you to join her in her world.

With Love, Meghan premiered on Netflix March 4. In this eight-episode series, Meghan showcases her enthusiasm for cooking, gardening, entertaining, and decorating while sharing her secrets for turning ordinary moments into something more meaningful. As she puts it in one episode, “Love is in the detail, friends.”

And she’s inviting some of her well-known pals to join the celebration. In the show, you’ll see appearances from her husband Prince Harry, mother Doria Ragland, Suits costar Abigail Spencer, makeup artist Daniel Martin, and more. Mindy Kaling, Nacho Figueras‘ wife Delfina Blaquier, Tatcha founder Vicky Tsai, and several renowned chefs make an appearance too. Moreover, Meghan provides a glimpse into her and Harry’s family life with Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, in Montecito, Calif., where they moved after stepping back from their royal duties five years ago.

As I settle into my home and foster connections with friends, both old and new, I find myself filled with immense gratitude. Yet, it’s not just about socializing; it’s also a time for self-discovery, learning, and growth. Being inherently curious, I can’t help but share my findings, the things I love, with the people who matter most to me – and this act brings me immense joy.

In addition to my recent release, “With Love, Meghan,” I am thrilled to announce the launch of my lifestyle brand, As Ever. This new chapter in my life feels exhilarating, and I’m eager to embark on it with all of you by my side. Your love and support have been instrumental in my journey, and for that, I am truly thankful.

In the final episode, while raising a toast to my dear ones, I expressed my heartfelt appreciation: “This is a new business venture, but it’s also an extension of the creativity I’ve longed for.” To learn more about the personal insights I share in this series, keep reading.

Meghan Markle, who is known to enjoy a good jar of preserves, shared that her interest in making them deepened after she and Prince Harry settled into their home in Montecito, California. She mentioned this during the second episode of “With Love, Meghan,” while plucking berries. “These vines were already here when we moved in,” she said, “This is what sparked my passion for jam and preserve-making.” As for her preferred preserve, it remains undisclosed.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, shared that her grandmother used to make apple butter, which she appreciates as it holds a sentimental value for her. She went on to say that her children, Archie and Lilibet, now have the opportunity to connect this tradition with coming home from school and enjoying the sweet aroma of slow-cooked fruit. Meghan also mentioned that Lili has even tried her hand at making preserves. In fact, they made a batch of strawberry preserve together, where Lili eagerly participated in picking the berries and helping to stir and mash them. This experience was meaningful for both Meghan and Lili as she took pride in her involvement.

It turns out that Harry, who occasionally appears on the show, isn’t just skilled in acting, but also in cooking – particularly when it comes to preparing breakfast. Moreover, Meghan shared some details about the Duke of Sussex’s preference for seasoning his food, revealing that he often adds salt before tasting a dish. To compensate, Meghan tries to reduce the amount of salt she uses while cooking for him.

Meghan expressed a liking for blending high-end and affordable clothing items, often referred to as the “high-low” approach in fashion. For instance, during her hosting of Mindy Kaling for a tea party in episode two, she wore trousers from Zara, a top from Loro Piana, and a sweater by Jenni Kayne.

As a lifestyle enthusiast and aficionado, I delight in sharing my passions for hosting, culinary arts, gardening, and interior design. Yet, there’s more to me than meets the eye!

For example, you may find me hosting an engaging game night with friends where we all learn the intricacies of Mahjong together. This ancient Chinese game, originating in the 1800s, has now taken on a new form in our group called American Mahjong. What I adore about this game is not just its entertainment value, but the joy of discovering something novel with friends and witnessing how the game serves as a backdrop for our friendship to blossom.

In another captivating episode, my dear friend Vicky Tsai, founder of Tatcha, revealed my fondness for pickleball. As for music, I’ve discovered a few genres that resonate deeply with me, but I prefer keeping those melodies close to my heart.

In the fifth episode, Meghan mentioned that she enjoys a great deal of ’70s soft rock, yacht rock, and soul music, along with some French tunes typically played at dinner parties.

As for her culinary preferences, she has an extremely high tolerance for spicy foods.

At a young age, our resources were limited, but we ventured to numerous locations due to my mom’s job as a travel agent. We sampled various flavors and explored diverse places. My mother used to prepare gumbo, a Soul food dish that boasts rich flavor and spice. I have developed a taste for such intensity, constantly seeking dishes with that level of heat. As I introduce my family to my preferences, I find myself drawn to these flavors.

In episode two, Meghan reminisced about her childhood, saying it seemed like a different era, but at that time, it was the norm to have microwaveable kids’ meals with separate compartments. She grew up on these, often munching on fast food while watching “Jeopardy!” Her favorite fast-food picks back then were Pollo Loco, Taco Bell (with extra hot sauce on the Mexican pizza) and Jack in the Box, as her mother was fond of their tacos.

Beyond those recollections, Meghan fondly reminisced about her early years too. As for one significant part of my growing-up experience, I vividly remember my stint with the Girl Scouts.

In the fourth episode, she mentioned that she had been part of Girl Scouts for quite some time. She joined as a Daisy, which is typically around age 5 or 6, and she sold numerous boxes of cookies. Her mother served as the troop leader for Troop 949.

Following their decision to step down as active members of the royal family in 2020, Harry and I continued to hold on to our titles as Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

In her book, With Love, Meghan, she elaborated on why the Sussex name holds such a significant place in my heart.

“It’s quite amusing that you still refer to me as Meghan Markle,” I shared with Mindy during episode two. “You see, I’m Sussex now. Just like parents cherish their children’s names, for me, our family name has become a source of immense pride. I never realized how deeply meaningful it would be, but to say ‘This is our family name,’ means the world to me.

Discussing Archie and Lili, Meghan provided some interesting tidbits about their lifestyle during the series. She disclosed that her children, particularly Lili, enjoy gardening just like she does and even have their own tools for it. Lili also created a clean-up song, as per Meghan, which goes, “Clean as you go.”

In episode five, Meghan mentioned her shared activity of making sun tea with Archie, and how he once caught a trout while fishing. She also expressed her enjoyment of cooking with her children and how these experiences are important to her. According to Meghan, these activities are significant parts of her desire for her kids to learn and cherish memories like, “‘Oh mama used to make this.’

Before her stardom as an actress and a duchess, Meghan Markle began her professional journey at the age of 13 working at an ice cream shop called Humphrey Yogart. Later, she also assisted in making doughnuts at Lil Orbits Donuts during her childhood. During her college years, Meghan held a part-time job as a cocktail waitress in Chicago, and eventually, she even taught gift-wrapping classes when she was just starting her acting career.

In episode four, as Meghan welcomes Nacho Figueras’ wife Delfina Blaquier to a gathering she hosts, she reminisces about her time spent overseas. “I believe what drew me to Argentina so strongly was its resemblance to California,” the duchess mused. “There, you have mountains and a vibrant zest for life that comes with appreciating the outdoors. Although I was there only for a short internship at the U.S. embassy, I adored it.

Meghan Markle portrayed Rachel Zane in the series ‘Suits’ from 2011 until 2018, and she’ll always remember the moment she discovered that she would be relocating to Toronto for the part.

In the second episode, I discovered that my show was being broadcast. Toronto, you say? Alrighty then, one season in Toronto – fantastic! But two seasons? Could it be that my life is about to take a turn in another direction? Fortunately, I’ve always held a soft spot for Canada and have made it a point to bring cast members over or meet new friends at the dog park with my furry companion.

Intriguingly, my co-star Abigail Spencer graced an episode of ‘With Love, Meghan’.

In January, it was shared that Meghan’s cherished dog, Guy, had sadly passed away. This lovable beagle graced screens in various episodes of the Netflix series, and Meghan often spoke fondly about him. As she put it in episode four, “I would do anything for Guy, and he knows it.” He was a versatile companion, being her sweetheart one moment, her jester the next, and her feisty little friend always ready to spoil. Indeed, he was ever-present, as she said in episode five, “Guy’s just always there. He’s my shadow and has been with me for a very long time.” Meghan recalled that Guy had accompanied her from Toronto, where he was found in the woods of Kentucky, to the U.K., Canada, and California. After the series finale, Meghan dedicated it to the memory of Guy.
