Where to Find the Strangled Root in Dawnshore – Avowed

In the novel “Avowed,” the initial Strangled Root that the Envoy comes across is situated quite near Dawnshore’s exit. As a result, numerous players might overlook it due to their eagerness to progress towards the Emerald Stair, or they may stumble upon it as they prepare to depart from the area.

Apart from the challenge posed by surrounding enemies, you are free to find the initial Strangled Adra whenever it suits you.

The only thing that might make finding the first Strangled Adra harder is the strength of nearby foes, but otherwise, you can go for it any time you prefer.

Visit the Precarious Hold:

In the role-playing game Avowed, you’ll find your way to the first Strangled Adra by navigating towards the substantial gateway that opens onto the Emerald Stair. This significant landmark is nestled in the southeastern corner of Dawnshore, within a region known as the Southern Embrace.

As a fan, I’d guide you this way: From the foot of the grand ramp leading to the imposing gate, take a leftward glance, watching for the thicket of prickly vines on your right. Beyond those thorny barriers, you’ll spot the entrance to a cave. Venture inside, proceed towards the rear, and take a left up the staircase. At the terminus of this pathway, you’ll come across a colossal bramble overhead. If Kai possesses a fire ability, utilize it here, or if you’re armed with a flaming weapon such as the Last Light of Day, attack the thorny mass directly.

Move upward into the following room, unlatch the door that lies before you, and you’ll enter a spacious puzzle chamber. In front of you stands a lever and a door reliant on three Energy Sources. Fortunately, no electrical devices are required at this stage, as the lever manages the charges automatically. To solve this riddle, you only need to ignite the thorny bush hindering one of the Energy Sources situated on the right. Should you possess Caeroc’s Pride, which you might have obtained from the Tempestuous Luandi bounty, you can simply fire it at the Energy Generators to clear the way.

After the door opens, go right onto the balcony and walk along the path leading to the prison zone. Upon entering, you’ll encounter a puzzle involving a second door. Stand facing the lever, use fire to remove the brambles covering the wall, freeing up an electric machine in the process. Next, burn the brambles on the right-hand side of the wall. Proceed into the next room where you’ll see a red explosive barrel and a destructible wall. Knock down the wall, then go back and activate the lever.

Upon opening the door, there stands the initial Strangled Adra awaiting you. Engaging with this Strangled Adra grants you an Adra for upgrading purposes, and initiates a dialogue with The Voice.

Where to Find the Strangled Adra in Emerald Stair – Avowed

Strangled Adra 2:

As a dedicated fan, I’d like to share some insights about reaching the second Strangled Adra in Avowed. Once you manage to locate its general area, it becomes surprisingly accessible. The destination lies just south of the Grim Wetlands and the Sunken Village. To your west, you’ll find it nestled between the Overgrown Godless Tower, which is located in western Emerald Stair.

Should you journey to the spot indicated on the map, you’ll come across a colossal rock that boasts numerous trees sprouting from it. If you cast your gaze upward and towards the elevated platforms, you might discern the second mysterious Strangled Adra.

As a gamer, if I find myself standing before a towering rock mountain, I’d suggest circling to its left flank. Keep an eye out for a peculiar tree jutting out at an angle there. Once you reach the other side of that tree, you’ll spot a climbable ledge. Ascend that ledge and voila! You’ll find yourself at the Strangled Adra, rewarding you with one Awakened Adra.

Where to Find the Strangled Adra in Shatterscarp – Avowed

Strangled Adra 3:

In the novel “Avowed,” the third instance of Adra’s Strangling takes place within the expansive Great Sand Sea, specifically atop a colossal rock formation known as the “Shattered Royalty.” You can access this location from any side, but the most convenient approach is entering from the western side.

Upon reaching it, you’ll notice that there’s a path right down the middle of the construction. Proceed through the tunnel, followed by turning right at the small puddle of water. At the end of this puddle, you’ll spot another path leading up some rocks. It can be easy to take the wrong route here, so ensure to scale the first three rocky outcrops, then turn back and leap across the gap you just ascended to land on the next rocky outcrop.

Following your passage over the chasm, proceed towards the nook adorned with spider webs. Check the base of the stone wall, where you’ll discover a tiny opening for crawling through that takes you to another leap across a broad expanse. The third Strangled Adra is stationed on the platform you land upon after this jump.

Where to Find the Strangled Adra in Galawain’s Tusks – Avowed

Strangled Adra 4:

The fourth Strangled Adra hidden within Avowed is relatively easy to find once you know the right spot. In this instance, the enormous crystal is located smack in the middle of a Xaurip camp, so expect a battle as you navigate towards your next encounter with The Voice.

The camp you need to locate is situated in the south of the Sallow Steppe. Interestingly enough, it’s quite near where Galawain’s Tusks initially appear on our map. We’ll make sure to highlight that spot for you.

When you’re within the camp, it’s nearly impossible to overlook the Strangled Adra, as it sits proudly on a rocky outcrop. Utilize the stone ledges for ascension, and once you reach the top, interact with the Adra to obtain an Adra Ban.

Where to Find the Strangled Adra in The Garden – Avowed

Strangled Adra 5:

As a devoted fan, I’d like to share a hint for locating the last and final Strangled Adra in the Garden. Just beyond the large puzzle door that leads out from the Maelgfolc Graveyard, you’ll come across a round pool of water. Keep going, and you’ll spot a massive chain link anchored to the ground in front of another door. That’s where your quest lies!

Starting from the circular pond, swim towards the back of the room where you’ll find an outlet leading into another body of water. Swim through the submerged tunnel, keeping to the left side. Upon surfacing, there will be a small ledge on your left that you can ascend. Standing on this ledge, you’ll notice a thicket blocking the way out, so employ any flammable weapon or explosive (from Kai’s companion’s skills) to clear the path.

Once the bramble has been charred away, you should make an ice bridge across the remaining portion of the pool to continue, and then depart through the freshly revealed exit. Proceed along the tunnel until you reach its end, then veer left onto a narrow ledge. Be careful not to leap from the path’s edge. As you turn left, you’ll spot the Strangled Adra nearby.
