Discover the Shocking Secrets of the Duggar Family Tree!

Jessa Duggar Seewald, one of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 children, has announced along with her husband Ben Seewald on March 7th that they will be welcoming their sixth child into the family.

sons Spurgeon (9 years old), Henry (8 years old), George (14 months), as well as daughters Ivy (5 years old) and Fern (3 years old).

Jill Duggar Dillard warmly congratulates Hannah Duggar on her pregnancy, expressing her excitement for the upcoming arrival of their new baby. Hannah, married to Jeremiah Duggar, shares her own anticipation for the birth of this little one.

2020 brought a crushing blow when I lost my pregnancy, and just two years later, another devastating moment struck as I found out during an ultrasound that this new life we were fostering wouldn’t survive. Jessa and Ben’s road to our sweet six hasn’t been an easy stroll; it’s been a grueling trek through the wilderness of hope and heartache.

Upon catching sight of the baby, I immediately picked up on a hint of worry in the technician’s tone, as she shared, “Everything seems fine with the sac, but there appears to be an issue with the baby.

Next came an overwhelming wave of grief and sadness.

In a YouTube video posted on February 2023, she expressed how unprepared she felt when those words hit her. At that exact instant, she was struck by such a powerful shock that she found herself speechless. All she could do was break down in tears instantly.

At the hospital, Jessa experienced a dilatation and suctioning (d&c) treatment. Prior to this procedure, she was in a state of severe shock.

As they were rolling me away, I found myself asking, “Could I possibly have just one more ultrasound? Could someone double-check, reassure me?” The reality TV star explained that she had been harboring doubts because she feared there might have been a mistake.

The devastation continued.

The most heart-wrenching moment came when I awoke following the procedure, realizing that the little life within me was gone, leaving an empty void behind. Regrettably, I never had the chance to meet my child or bid farewell.

Despite tying the knot back in 2014, she and Ben never wavered in their optimism. As she carried George, born in September 2023, she expressed her feelings by saying, “With every heartbeat I hear, every ultrasound I see, every positive appointment… my worries lessen just a bit more. God has bestowed upon us blessings that surpass all measure.

Originally a pair of high school sweethearts, these two eventually became the parents of 19 children and grandparents to more than three dozen little ones.

Michelle shared an experience where she felt “rescued” when she was 15 years old. On a particular evening, Jim Bob was carrying out home visits for his Baptist church, and he was directed to the Ruark family’s residence by a friend who mentioned that “a girl from school who recently had a spiritual awakening and is a cheerleader” resided there.

They extended an invitation to Michelle to attend Sunday school at their church, and Jim Bob mentioned that he had prayed to God for them to serve as each other’s spiritual guides – although it seems that their initial encounter didn’t leave a lasting impression on Michelle. A year later, she applied for a position at the frozen yogurt store run by Jim Bob’s parents. In a letter posted on their family blog in 2017, on the occasion of Jim Bob’s birthday and their 33rd wedding anniversary, Michelle recalled their first meeting: “You were behind the counter when I approached you, and we introduced ourselves. You were timid but very kind! I can’t remember much about that chat, except that you eventually found the courage to ask me if I would accompany you to your junior-senior banquet!

At Shiloh Christian, they both went to a dinner together, but it wasn’t until later, when they spent hours at her family home discussing the Bible, that she realized their connection deepened significantly. In her words, “Our hearts became intertwined from there.” They finished high school in May of 1984 and got married just a few months later in July; Michelle was only 17 years old and Jim Bob was 19 at the time.

The couple dedicated themselves to God and each other for the long run.

Jim Bob previously held the position of a state legislator in Arkansas, specifically serving in the Arkansas House of Representatives for the sixth district from 1999 to 2002. During his tenure, he was vice chair of the Corrections and Criminal Law Subcommittee. In 2002, he attempted to run for the U.S. Senate but was unsuccessful in the primary. Similarly, a campaign in 2006 to become the Republican nominee for Arkansas State Senate District 35 also ended in defeat.

They, along with Michelle, being licensed realtors, are actively involved in conservative movements – a part of their lifestyle that has made them admirers and also critics of the show “19 Kids and Counting,” which debuted as “17 Kids and Counting” in 2008.

As of October 2024, they were grandparents of 33 with three on the way.

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share that I hail from the Duggar clan, and I am the eldest among us, born on March 3, 1988. Much like my family, I have chosen a path of conservatism, dedicating my efforts to champion causes through the Family Research Council.

In 2015, he resigned following the exposure of past police records showing allegations against him for inappropriately touching multiple girls, which included his sisters Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar, when he was a young adult. Later that year, Jessa spoke out in an interview with Fox News, stating that the harsh accusations being made about her brother were “exaggerated and untrue, truly. I can say this because I was one of the victims.

In a September 26, 2008 wedding that was showcased on “19 Kids and Counting,” his wife, Anna Duggar, has remained loyal to him even through the times when he confessed to infidelity.

In 2016, when he entered a rehabilitation facility, his parents described it as the “initial significant move towards recuperation and mending.

As a dedicated parent of five wonderful children – Mackynzie (born October 8, 2009), Michael (June 15, 2011), Marcus (June 2, 2013), Meredith (born July 16, 2015, on the same day TLC canceled 19 Kids), and Mason Garett (September 12, 2017) – I was navigating through a challenging period when our family expanded yet again. My beloved wife gave birth to Maryella Hope on November 27, 2019, and just recently, we welcomed our seventh child, Madyson Lily, on October 23, 2021.

In an indictment made public in April 2021, Josh faced charges for two separate counts: receiving and possessing child pornography. He denied guilt on both charges. Later in 2022, he was convicted of both offenses (though the possession charge was subsequently dismissed by the judge). As a result, he received a prison sentence of 12 and a half years.

Not long after Josh’s birth, Michelle became pregnant once more, only to experience a miscarriage. During their mourning and seeking divine direction, they discovered that they were expecting twins instead.

She expressed that it felt like a special gift twice over, she shared with Love to Know. It seemed God was offering us comfort in our hearts during this learning process. What makes it so remarkable is that I breastfeed my babies, but they’re closely spaced. Incredibly, just eight months after having one baby, I found myself expecting again. Another unexpected blessing the Lord has bestowed upon our unique circumstances.

John David Duggar and his twin sister Jana Duggar were born on Jan. 12, 1990.

Following a lengthy acquaintance (they had known each other for quite some time beforehand, meeting at a church gathering in Abbie’s native state of Oklahoma), and a swift engagement, John David and Abbie-Grace Burnett tied the knot on Nov. 3, 2018.

On January 7, 2020, they happily welcomed their daughter Grace Annette Duggar into the world, while their son Charlie Duggar joined them in September 2022.

On their 30th birthday in January 2020, Jana wrote a heartfelt message to John saying, “Ever since we were children, people have wondered if John and I share some sort of ‘twin intuition’ – you know, the feeling where one senses what the other is experiencing or thinking… Well, John, for years I’ve maintained that we don’t, but now I can truly admit that when our daughter Gracie was born, I felt every bit of joy that you did. So maybe it does exist after all!

Jana went on to say, “It’s truly heartwarming to see you and Abbie being parents. You both seem so natural at it! The same traits that have made you an exceptional brother will undoubtedly make you a fantastic father.

Jana looked on as eleven out of her eighteen siblings tied the knot before she met Stephen Wissmann – whose sister Hannah is hitched to Jeremiah, one of Jana’s own brothers. Although she occasionally expressed some exasperation, she firmly believed it was all part of a divine plan orchestrated by God.

In August 2024, just before her wedding, Jana shared with People that she hadn’t always grasped the overall plan, but she trusts that God has the best in store for everyone. Consequently, she chose to get married later in life. She expressed that each of our lives will have unique narratives, and if they were all identical, it would make life monotonous.

Jill Duggar, born on May 17, 1991, had a love story similar to her parents’. She first encountered Derick, who lived approximately 45 minutes away, on Christmas in the year 2011. This chance encounter took place when he dropped by the Duggar family home while out caroling with his church group.

Jim Bob acted as a cupid, connecting Jill and Derick. Their bond deepened through emails and video calls. In November, they met in person when Father and daughter went to see Derick in Nepal. The two continued to grow fond of each other. By February 2014, Derick requested Jim Bob’s blessing for Jill’s hand in marriage, which was granted. They got married on June 21, 2014. Their family consists of three sons—Israel (born April 6, 2015), Samuel (born July 8, 2017), and Frederick (born July 7, 2022).

In April 2024, Jill announced that they had experienced a miscarriage while anticipating their first daughter with Derick.

In the Amazon Prime Video documentary titled “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets“, which aired in June 2023, Jill and Derick took time to contemplate and discuss the disputes and faith-based viewpoints related to her family that were highlighted.

Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifth child, Jessa Duggar, was born Nov. 4, 1992.

Jessa encountered Ben at church, and he started courting her in 2013, using an old-fashioned method of romance which was quite novel for many viewers. Since they didn’t discuss their relationships before getting engaged, as Jim Bob told People, “Courting involves getting to know each other in a group setting, with both families spending time together and the couple setting goals to determine if they are suited for marriage. Dating often means couples spend time alone, which can sometimes lead to a more intimate relationship.

In August 2014, Ben asked for Jessa’s hand in marriage, and they got engaged. Their first moment of being officially together was when he held her hand for the first time. They tied the knot on November 1, 2014. At that point, Jessa was pregnant with their first child. The cancellation of their family show, “19 Kids and Counting,” occurred while she was expecting, and TLC aired a special about sexual abuse, featuring Jill and Jessa, to enlighten viewers on the topic. That winter, they became the main stars of another show, “Jill and Jessa: Counting On.” This series later expanded to include other Duggar siblings, eventually becoming known as simply, “Counting On.

During November 5, 2015, Jessa and Ben had their first son, Spurgeon; followed by Henry on February 6, 2017, Ivy Jane on May 28, 2019, and Fern in July 2021. In the holiday season of 2022, Jessa sadly experienced a miscarriage. However, she was blessed with her fifth child, George, in December 2023.

The sixth Duggar child, Jinger Vuolo, was born Dec. 21, 1993.

Jinger and Jeremy first crossed paths while engaged in religious work in Laredo, Texas, in 2016, and they began dating around that time. They tied the knot on November 5, 2016, which also happened to be their nephew Spurgeon’s birthday (a rather unique coincidence given Jinger is one of 19 family members). Soon after their wedding, speculation about a possible pregnancy began circulating.

In a year, we expect to be firmly established, continuing our ministry right here in Laredo. We’re simply focusing on serving the Lord in whatever capacity we can, as stated by Jinger during a June 2017 episode of Counting On.

On July 19, 2018, their daughter named Felicity entered the world. It was in May of that same year when they announced that Jinger was pregnant again; however, she had experienced a miscarriage the preceding fall. In November 2020, they were blessed with Evangeline Jo as their new addition.

Jinger and Jeremy shared in October 2024 that their third child is due in March 2025.

On January 20, 1995, Joseph Duggar was born. Leveraging the charming atmosphere, Joseph popped the question to Kendra (a lady he met through church) during his sister Joy-Anna’s wedding in May 2017, shortly after a few months of dating.

As I prepared myself for the big moment, I must admit, a hint of anxiety was present. However, I wasn’t anxious about her possibly turning me down, for she had already expressed, “I’m just waiting on you!” This gave me confidence. Later, when I asked, Joseph shared with People that he was overjoyed and astonished, struggling to find the right words beyond being simply shocked. Kendra echoed his feelings, expressing her immense happiness and shock.

Since then, they’ve declared the arrivals of their sons and daughters: Garrett, who was born in June 2018, Addison, born in November 2019, and Brooklyn, born in February 2021.

Eighth in line, Josiah Duggar was born on Aug. 28, 1996.

A few months following their public relationship, they declared their engagement in March 2018. In his statement, he shared that the location where he proposed to Lauren was the very same spot where her parents got engaged. This property holds significant family history, making it a particularly meaningful place for Lauren.

Michelle, who will be Lauren’s mother-in-law in the future, expressed her love for Lauren in a video on their family blog, saying, “Lauren is such a treasured girl to us.” Jessa and Ben also offered their congratulations along with chocolate shaped like X’s and O’s. Michelle teased, “I think you two might want to wait for your first kiss on your wedding day, but if you visit us, we have a sweet treat waiting here…” She gestured to the enticing reward.

In the summer of 2015, a romance with Marjorie Jackson didn’t turn out as planned and they each went their own way. As Josiah shared with People in March 2016, “Marjorie and I had some wonderful moments together.” He continued, “We were both attempting to walk the path that God intended for us. However, Marjorie felt it wasn’t the right moment then, so we took a break from each other for a while.

On June 30, 2018, I was blessed to exchange vows with my beloved partner, Lauren. We shared that our wedding day was nothing short of perfect with the esteemed publication, People. Fast forward, we became parents for the first time on Nov. 8, 2019, as Bella Milagro made her grand entrance into our lives. The name Bella Milagro translates to “miracle baby,” a fitting title given Lauren’s previous miscarriage in October 2018. In 2022, we welcomed another precious daughter, Daisy, and later, in May 2023, our son, Ezra, joined our family.

Ninth sibling Joy-Anna Duggar was born Oct. 28, 1997.

She had been friends with Austin Forsyth for fifteen years before he began pursuing her romantically. After this point, they moved quickly – he proposed in February 2017, and they were married on May 26, 2017, at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas (the same church where Joseph asked Kendra to marry him!).

Joy-Anna and Austin became parents to their son Gideon Martin Forsyth on Feb. 23, 2018, daughter Evelyn Mae Forsyth on Aug. 21, 2020, and son Gunner James Forsyth on May 17, 2023.

On December 30, 1998, Jim Bob and Michelle welcomed their twin sons, named Jed Duggar and Jeremiah Duggar, into the world.

Jed got married to Katey Nakatsu a year later, in April 2021, following a year of dating. Their family now includes son Truett, who was born in May 2022, and daughter Nora Kate, who joined them in June 2023.

In July of 2024, Jed and Katey made an announcement that they were expecting twin babies in January 2025. Their beautiful daughters, named Elsie Kate and Emma Kate, were finally born on the 8th of January, 2025.

Jeremiah, a qualified flight instructor, is married to Hannah Wissmann (sister of Stephen, Jana’s husband) and together they have two children: Brynley, born in December 2022, and Brielle, born in February 2024.

They announced in Decemeber 2024 that their third daughter is on the way.

No. 12 Jason Duggar was born on April 21, 2000.

In January 2017, according to the Daily Mail, Jim Bob aided Jase in purchasing a $33,000 property in need of repairs in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, which is approximately half an hour from the Duggar family’s main residence. Later on, he established his own construction company.

In May 2024, he made their relationship public on Instagram with Maddie Grace, and they got married the next October.

Charmed No. 13, James Duggar was born July 7, 2001.

He doesn’t have a romantic partner at the moment, but he’s very loving as an uncle towards numerous nieces and nephews.

On his 19th birthday in 2019, Michelle wrote: “James is the beloved ‘fun uncle,’ and all the younger lads around here admire him and aspire to emulate him!” This is because James can accomplish almost anything he sets his mind to. As a child, we often found him tinkering with household appliances. He has always been one who enjoys disassembling things, understanding their inner workings, and reassembling them – sometimes with unique enhancements!

This year, James dedicated himself to earning his Commercial Driver’s License, and now he’s a seasoned professional when it comes to handling large trucks and heavy equipment. We’re eagerly looking forward to seeing where life takes him in the years ahead!

No. 14 Justin Duggar arrived on Nov. 15, 2002.

In September 2020, he announced his relationship with Claire Spivey. They became engaged a month later in November and tied the knot on February 26, 2021.

In the company of his elder sister Jill, Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifteen child, Jackson Duggar, made his arrival on May 23, 2004.

When Jackson turned sixteen on his birthday, his mother, Michelle, commended his wit and mentioned how eager she knew he was to obtain a driver’s license.

Johanna Duggar was born on October 11, 2005, which led to the creation of the initial family show titled “16 Children Under One Roof.

Michelle posted on her daughter’s 15th birthday in 2020: “This girl is full of life and enjoys meeting new people, and she cherishes friendships. Her younger siblings simply idolize her, believing she’s the epitome of greatness. I couldn’t be more thankful to God for blessing me with the role of being her mother!

Jennifer Duggar arrived on Aug. 2, 2007, then the baby of the family.

Their TLC show that premiered Sept. 29, 2008, was christened 17 Kids and Counting.

Now, OMG, she’s a teenager.

Michelle penned, “Jennifer is reliable, devoted… and full of joy!” on the occasion of her granddaughter’s 13th birthday. Adored by her nieces, nephews, and often found cradling one because they refuse to be put down, Jennifer also harbors a unique affection for animals and meticulously attends to their daily needs! Recently, she played a significant role in nursing a brood of 7 tiny bunnies back to health.

Here on the right, the penultimate Duggar child was born Dec. 18, 2008.

2019 saw Jordyn-Grace being described by her mom as an outgoing girl who can easily make friends, and whose laughter often brings joy to our days.

19th on our list is Josie Duggar, who was born on December 10, 2009. She arrived three months early and weighed merely 1 pound, 6 ounces. Consequently, she spent a significant portion of half a year in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

On her baby’s 11th birthday in 2020, Michelle noted that Josie is a constant whirlwind of activity. From the moment she starts her day till she finally falls asleep, there’s hardly ever a moment when she isn’t moving briskly!
